From the owner

Trezise Cottage belongs to an original Cornish Tin Mining Family. Experience real Cornish living in our 170 year old rustic cottage style townhouse situated in the heart of Penzance Town. It is a spacious four storey, two bedroom house which sleeps up to 6 people, has many original features and boasts a stunning hilltop view of Mounts Bay. Trezise Cottage is ideally located for beaches, country and harbour walks, art galleries and traditional pubs. There are a few mordern features such as Wifi and a Playstation for the odd rainy day. The house is cosy and traditional, perfect for a real Cornish getaway.

The cottage has two large bedrooms. One has a king size bed and a double futon. The other has two large singles that can be converted into a double.

The living area and kitchen are spacious and can accommodate six people comfortably.

We provide bedding (pillows, duvets and quilts). For all bookings there is an additional £45 surcharge for bed linen, towels and housecleaning.

A damages deposit may be required for groups of more than four people.

We are sorry to hear that your trip didn’t live up to your expectations. Our property description clearly outlines what facilities we offer and additional information on accessibility, location and parking (the cottage does not have prepay meters). It is the guests responsibility to check the suitability of the accommodation they wish to book. Guests can always contact us by email, phone or text if an issue arises during a stay. We did speak to you before check-in but didn’t hear from you again until after your holiday was over; when you contacted us by text purporting that you had decided not to take your pet and that you wanted a refund. We found it slightly odd that you didn’t mention this before, but, we did make a goodwill gesture. We are not entirely sure what to say about “steep hills in Penzance”. All we can say is that perhaps a small amount of careful research would have helped before booking your holiday; considering, in your review, you mentioned a disability.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry that the beginning of your holiday didn't live up to your expectations. The cottage is self catering so we do not provide a "hotel style" daily maid cleaning service. We do, however, encourage guests to contact us or the housekeeper (who lives close by) if there are any queries. We are available at all times. After speaking to you in person and exchanging emails, you have since given us some really positive feedback. Having had, in the past, very positive reviews. We find that the majority our guests consider Trezise Cottage to be clean, tidy, homely and inviting, a fantastic base for exploring Western Cornwall and moreover, offers great value for money.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Ashleigh (the owner) a message.

If Ashleigh (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
