The Cornwall region

Cornwall is where Summer lingers into Autumn and Winter is about the log fire, blustery beach walks & storm watching. . .

Seeing the Cornish coastline throughout the different seasons is a true pleasure that we would love you to experience. So why not experience for yourself the Magic of Cornwall…

West Cornwall is in many ways the Real Cornwall. St Ives, Porthcurno, Sennen beaches are all within a 10 mile drive. Some of the regions finest restaurants are also in the area.

Penzance is the most Westerly market town in mainland UK and has much to offer. Penzance is on a par with St Ives for arts and culture, and is the home of many art galleries. A very large number of renowned artists live and work in West Cornwall, making Penzance a sought after holiday destination.

There are plenty of independent shops, restaurants and pubs serving delicious locally produced food. The harbour and Promenade – which boasts a large art deco open air swimming baths – and the seafront are a two minute walk away. Just down from Chapel Street are Quay Street and the Harbour front. Here you will find an array of water based activities from fishing trips, diving opportunities as well as day trips by boat to the beautiful Isles of Scilly. The Dolphin Tavern in Quay Street is rumoured to be one of the most haunted pubs in Cornwall and offers a selection of fine food, local ales and maybe the occasional 'unseen' guest!! Nearby Chapel street features some unique architecture, such as the Egyptian House, and the historic Admiral Benbow pub, which has seen much pirate skulduggery over the years.

Penzance is the ideal base to explore West Cornwall. Must-see destinations include Land's End, Sennen Cove (white sandy beach with superb surf!) and Porthcurno Beach, which is the home of the famous Minack open air theatre. St. Michael's Mount at Marazion is close by, as is St Ives, The Lizard and The Cathedral City of Truro.
