“It was awesome”

Reviewed 1 Sep 2015

After staying at this house for a few weeks, we believe that anyone who chooses to go there will not be disappointed. The house is everything its description says it is and even more. It is in perfect order, with every little detail thought through. We didn't miss anything at all and felt completely at home. Now that we are back from our holiday, we actually miss the splendid sea view from the terrace and the relaxing sound of the waves. The house is also very well located: it is both quiet and peaceful being outside the town and near the beautiful national park with its secluded beaches, and convenient as the town is just round the corner, and you can always pop out to the old town with its many shops and restaurants. To sum up, it was one of the best holiday rentals we have ever stayed in. Thank you to Tony and Bev for letting their house to us, and thank you to the local managers who were very nice and helpful.

“Super”

Reviewed 29 Jul 2015

We had a fantastic 10 days at this holiday home. It proved to be the ideal location for us, just 10 minutes walk from the town, close enough to access, but yet away from it all. Our kids absolutely loved the pool, and we quite often had it to ourselves, which was an added bonus! The house was immaculate, with everything we needed and perfect of our family of 4, 2 adults, 11 year old and 7 year old. We walked into town every day, as we had no car, the road is a little bendy for walking, but it worked out fine for us, as the traffic wasn't too bad. We loved getting back every evening to sit out on the terrace, listening to the sea, and crickets and watching the bats flying over head, with the full moon bouncing its rays onto the sea. The house is in a very safe gated compound, and anyone we met was very friendly. Peniscola, is a great spot, we loved the castle, and wandering about the old town, there are lots of options to eat out, or enjoy a cold drink. The weather was 36 degrees most days, so we certainly couldn't complain! Big thanks to Tony and Bev, the owners for all their help before we booked and traveled, and a huge thanks to Lucie and Jody who manage the property, Jody collected us and deposited us at the airport, and we enjoyed chatting to him on both routes and he couldn’t have been more helpful to orientate us when we arrived at the house and also give us info re the town etc. Great holiday, we would highly recommend this house, if you like to be close enough to action, but away from it all too :) We returned rested and sun kissed, to a very cold 13 degrees in Ireland :( Gracias - :)

“Really lovely place and had a great time”

The apartment was really lovely, the sea view from the balcony was fabulous, especially at night. It had everything we needed for a great holiday. Tony could not have been more helpful in every way. Thank you very much.

“Well Rested”

Reviewed 2 Mar 2015

We arrived with some trepidation but we were not disappointed at all. The apartment was exactly as described with everything you may need in a home from home environment. The view from the large baloney was shamazing. The complex was mostly empty and we had a very quiet and relaxing vacation with our dog. As soon as we were shown around on arrival we were worried as there was no electric hoover to keep the dog hairs at bay. After contacting the management team so see if we could borrow one they arrived the same day with a brand new hoover purchased for our use! The beach was easily within walking distance but without a pavement on a narrow and twisty road we took our car into Peniscola each day to walk our dog on the beach. Dogs are not allowed on the beach but having checked at the Tourist Office and as it was out of season there was some allowances and no one complained and we saw others doing the same each day. Parking was free also until end of March and there was plenty of choices for either North or South Beaches. Only draw back being out of season was there was not a lot of places open and choices to eat out locally were very limited. However with an excellent local supermarket and Carrefour about 20 mins away we cooked simple meals most days in our fully equipped kitchenette. All in all we had a wonderful restful 2 week holiday.

Thank you for your kind words and we hope to see you again sometime. There is, of course, lots of great dog walking and wild beaches to the south, as an alternative to going into town. I think dogs are OK on the town's south beach out of season, but perhaps frowned upon in July & August.

“Brilliant”

Reviewed 26 Feb 2015

Lovely apartment, very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Balcony excellent for chilling out. Warm welcome from the manager and the welcome pack awaiting us was just that -- welcome. We had a very restful week there at the end of September which was just what we needed. We would like to return next time we are in Peniscola. Highly recommended. The restaurant at the top of the hill was superb--- warning-- book early.

Many thanks for your kind words, and we hope to see you again.

“Super little house in a great location”

Reviewed 3 Jun 2014

Just back from 16 Las Marinas in Peñiscola. The house had everything we needed, furnished and equipped to a high standard. It was safe and secure and in a good location with sea views and palm trees! The area was lovely...historic castle and old town, busy bars and quirky shops in the town itself, really nice sandy beaches, the fishing port with a good bar to sit and watch the boats come in and unload their catch and good walks and bike trails in the National Park. Both relaxing with lots to do, really Spanish in character. We have already booked again for next year. Happily recommending it.
