Appartement superbe,très bien agencé,face à la piscine.Résidence calme. Le seul bémol prendre la voiture pour se rendre au bord de la mer

“Great apartment, fabulous part of Spain.”

Reviewed 28 Jul 2015

Apartment is spacious with two south facing balconies overlooking the pool area with (relaxing) medium distance sea and mountain views. The lower balcony has almost full shade from the upper one and the upper one has full sun through the day. The complex was quite and relaxing. With the exception of the pool (and the sun) not much else around. On arrival the key holder arrives within a minute or two when called by phone. (01:30am in my case), dropping it off at departure just as easy. In the apartment itself, air con is fab to have and works well, nothing lacking in kitchen or any of the rooms, beds v comfortable too. Books, DVDs etc supplied, should it not be all sun for your stay but the sky TV reception was too poor to watch. Underground car park is great for keeping the car cool and the advice of car recommended is good as walking into or back from the town is impractical as the hills in the heat are not pleasant and the winding section of main road is not for the faint hearted. For the town itself, it's fab too. Not over commercialized, lots of bars and restaurants, picturesque, beaches, it has it all. I've been to many parts of Spain and this is probably the nicest area I've been to. Didn't notice much of a young night life scene for the younger ones though but then again we weren't out late enough so it might exist. Bad bits about the town is it's all pay parking so make sure you have change all the time for the meters. Best points overall, sitting on the balcony with a glass in the sun. Lovely clean town with lots of choices for eating. Bad bits, car required to go to supermarket or anywhere else, so evening glass of wine has to wait until back in the apartment.

Owner's reply: Hi Micheal, So glad you enjoyed the apartment and Peniscola - It's such a pretty part of Spain. Did you manage to visit the castle and old town? Was the bus at the bottom of the road not running, it usually takes you into town and back, which is useful if you like to have a drink in the town. There are a few clubs - the Mandarin being one, which probably gets livelier as the night gets later. Enjoy the rest of Summer. William
