From the owner

Olive Store Cottage was originally built as a 'kalivi', a farm building for storing produce, sheltering animals and for the owners to live when working the land.

In 2005 it was carefully and lovingly restored as a simple but beautiful holiday cottage. It has two large double bedrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. A cosy living and dining room with log burning stove. There is a well equipped kitchen and family bathroom with shower on the ground floor. The upstairs bedroom has an ensuite toilet and washbasin. Outside a covered terrace to enjoy shady summer living and cool evenings.

The owners house is about 70 meters away, and they are on hand to help you enjoy your holiday. Altogether the property is set within 3 acres of gardens, olive grove, orchard and woodland. We overlook the Aegean Sea and in the distance the island of Evia.

At the head of a beautiful valley in the south of the Pelion peninsula, we are in a small hamlet called 'Randi' just 5 minutes by car from the seaside village and harbour of Platania and from the 'hidden mountain village' of Promyri. This is a fabulous area, relatively undeveloped. It offers visitors excellent beaches, fabulous nature and wildlife. It is a popular area for hiking at any time of year except for the hottest months when the clear warm sea, quiet sandy beaches and wonderful harbourside tavernas will tempt you. In the winter there is a small friendly ski resort at Hania on Mount Pelion.

The owners are happy to help you plan hikes in Pelion and in summer to take you on their small (6 metre) traditional sailing boat 'Kaliope' to explore hidden beaches.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Kathryn (the owner) a message.

If Kathryn (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
