“Lovely little Cottage”

Reviewed 13 Aug 2017

Fantastic cottage with everything you could need in it; dishwasher microwave even a washing machine! Bedroom would comfortably sleep 3 ( 1 lovely king size bed and 1 single bed). Ideally situated for the bus route to Edinburgh and direct access to the Village of Peebles. Ample car parking around and cars are safe we left ours all week in the East station Car park. Caroline is a great host, left us a pint of milk for when we got there and a basket of goodies too! Checked in with us just before departure to make sure we didn't need to check out late! Would definitely stay again if we were planning on staying in the Area!

Owner's reply: Glad you enjoyed your week in August and got to the Edinburgh festival . Buses every half hour and £9 return . Easy . Takes an hour . Thank you.

“Scottish weekend away”

Reviewed 8 May 2017

Just spent a long weekend at Tweed Cottage.Lovely homely retreat in a great location in Peebles. Nice comfortable bed & functional clean kitchen with a nice welcome basket of goodies. Lockable storage for our bikes. Great base for Glentress & Edinburgh. Caroline was very helpful with all the information provided & we will definitely book again.

Owner's reply: Delighted you enjoyed your stay and thank you for your review

“Perfect location.”

Reviewed 19 Jun 2016

Just returned from 1 week stay at Tweed Cottage and already missing Pebbles. Stayed with my wife and although the weather wasn't what we had hoped for, it certainly didn't spoil our stay. Cottage itself is cosy and fully equipped with lovely welcome basket on arrival and perfectly positioned to take advantage of the local eateries, bars, restaurants, banks and shops. Bus for Edinburgh is just at end of the lane to cottage and buses every 30 mins, so perfect for a wee day trip to the country's capital avoiding the nightmare of parking in the city. People in the bars, restaurants, coffee shops etc were so very friendly and helpful that we are already making plans for a return visit. Many thanks to Caroline for a memorable stay at your lovely cottage.

Owner's reply: Glad you enjoyed your holiday yes being central it's a great base to keep yourself busy . Thank you .
