Nestling on the lower slopes of Cademuir Forest, one mile south of Peebles, Tantah Croft is a brand new eco-house (completed in 2010) , ideally placed for all manner of activities. Whether you're a mountain biker, a walker, just want to enjoy the tranquility of the countryside or are interested in spending some time in a beautiful building built to the highest green standards, Tantah Croft is a perfect place to stay.

Tantah Croft offers 3 bedrooms (2 of which can be configured as doubles or singles), 2 bathrooms, sleeps 5/6. Underfloor heating, log burning stoves. All usual modern facilities inc. Satellite HD TV, Wi fi & Ipod doc. Lovely patio, large BBQ, fantastic views. Direct access to beautiful local trails. Private garden area and direct access to the hills and forest behind the house.

Secure bike storage & workshop space + bike washing faclities.

Dogs are welcome.

Private rear patio garden with barbeque, chairs & table. Stone flags extend all around the front of the house. Large porch area, great for storing logs, bikes & muddy clothes!Ample parking, logstore & garage/workshop for bikes close by, at the front of the property. Secure fencing & gates surround the property, perfect for containing any furry guests!Short walk through the orchard/fruit garden takes you to the door in the back wall, which provides access to the hills and forest behind the house.

We are alongside the John Buchan Way, one mile from Peebles town centre, 2 miles from Glentress Forest & 7 miles from the downhill course at Innerleithen. There are also plenty of walking trails in the hills & forests behind the house & nearby.

Traquair House About 5 miles down the road – gardens, woodland walks, café, shop, maze & a brewery!

Kailzie Gardens - Beautiful gardens, café, shop & trout pond, about 4 miles away.

Dawyck Botanic Gardens - About 6 miles south-west of us, exceptional botanical garden with an award-winning visitor centre.

Neidpath Castle - Peebles’ ‘local’ castle, about a 1.5 mile walk.

Cademuir Hill Fort is an Iron Age Fort & is immediately (well a mile or two) behind our house & an amazing walk.

Rosslyn Chapel - A bit further afield (about 12 miles north of us), but a unique place, particularly if you’re into all that Da Vinci Code stuff.
