This private, open plan, spacious villa, is located on the prestigious west coast of the Island in beautiful Paynes Bay. Situated within a private residential setting with veranda overlooking a lush flowering front lawn, access to a private garden and air-conditioning to all the bedrooms.

The elevated landscape affords views of the breathtaking Caribbean sea to the west of the property and its location provides an easy 2 minute access to beautiful white sandy beaches. There you will find a truly stunning turquoise sea where you can engage in water-sports, swim with turtles or simply sunbathe. There is horse riding and other activities such as golf at the nearby famous Sandy Lane golf course.

There are a plethera of excellent restaurants within easy walking distance or a 5 minute car or bus drive away to the next village of Holetown, which provides local banks, duty free shopping and local nightlife.

Travel

The Airport on the Island is Grantley Adams International Airport (BGI) at approx 15 Kilometres from the villa and about a 40 minutes drive.

The capital Bridgetown is about a 20 minute drive away in the parish of St Michael.

A car is recommended for your sightseeing pleasure around the island, but not essential as there are frequent local buses and a bus stop at the end of the road.

Car Hire is available and can be arranged prior your arrival.

The elevated landscape of the property also affords stunning views from the veranda of the Caribbean flora and fauna and of the breathtaking Caribbean sea to the west of the property. From the utility room there is access to a private lawned rear garden, with lush tropical flowers and plants, which provides outside seating for dining, sunbathing, lounging and drying facilities.

The villa is just a 2 minute walk down to the beautiful and breathtaking Paynes Bay beach, situated on the west coast of the Island and known as the "platinum coast" of Barbados, renowned for it's soft, white sandy beaches, turquoise sea and shady palm trees. Ideal for all water sports, sunbathing, swimming and even horse riding!
It is recommended that you take a walk along the coast where you will be enchanted by calm waters, magical flying fish and other nearby beaches such as Sandy Lane.

Very pleasant experience.

The house was very airy. A short walk to the beach. Main road for travel was at the top of the road. Only could stay for a time, but will be back for the summer.

This guest has stayed at the property on 3 occasions. They have always paid a significant reduction in price and the property has given the guest easy and safe access to their family members who live in close proximity to the property. Since staying at the property the guest has experienced significant improvements such as air conditioning, re decoration and landscape gardening, which is why the guest has returned. The garden is extremely safe with wire fencing around the property and also has additional shrubs. There is no open access to the street. The umbrella is fixed with solid weights and can only be moved by 2 adults. Adults are expected to take responsibility for and to supervise their children in the garden and the property. Cleaning occured 3 times a week to the whole of the property and it is safe and very clean. Infact one of the other adult guests requested that the cleaner not attend so often! As well as air conditioning units there are ceiling fans so guests have a choice. All appliances were personally checked by me prior to the guests arrival and were all in good working order. The utility room is furnished with additional resources for guest usage such as beach furniture, which was used by the guest! The pictures of the property are factual and not misrepresented. They are an exact depiction of the property apart from the garden which is even more lush and beautiful than the original pictures they have been taken by a reputable, professional advertising agency based in Barbados. Views of the sea can clearly be seen from the property by anyone with sufficient and adequate vision due to the elevation of the property which is a wonderful feature. This same feature affords guests a walk down to the beach and a smooth incline back up to the property, it is not onerous or difficult to manage. The guest has commended the distance for its proximity on several occasions. Unfortunately during their stay the guest caused damages to the umbrella ( trying to move its location ) which had to be fixed. The guest broke a kettle which had to be replaced. The guest travelled with a very ill relative who sadly soiled the bed linen, mattress and furniture which all had to be replaced. The guest broke the lock to the back door which had to be replaced. Toilet paper is replaced on each occasion when the property is cleaned if additional paper is needed it is given. The guest however used excessive amounts of paper which blocked the toilet and had to be removed by the cleaner. The guest is correct, this was the second occasion they had caused a blockage to the toilet in that way! In conclusion the guest has stayed at the property on 3 occasions in good faith due to the discount that was afforded to them and the easy access to the beautiful beaches and their family. Any reasonable adult with concerns as huge as this guest has identified would not return. At no stage were any of the concerns highlighted to me or my management team, which goes against the terms and conditions of the contract. I suggest that the guest made no complaints at the time because they were perfectly happy with the property as they had been for the last 3 years. Unfortunately the guest was aggrieved at having to pay for damages to the lock only that they caused and their holiday was severely disrupted by the ill health of the adults. This I believe is the motivation for this review. I do hope the guest has success with future accommodation in Barbados and I would urge all prospective travellers not to be deterred and to visit this beautiful island and stay in this wonderful accomodation!
