French Country Farmhouse in Lucq de Bearn, a 4 star level, v. well equipped holiday 300 yrs old stone house that is tastefully renovated and in a convenient, but tranquil location between Biarritz (60mins) & Pau (25mins).

* Very large in-ground POOL with panoramic views of Pyrenees mountains & Jurancon vineyards.

* Ideal for COUPLES, group of friends or families who want tranquil country surroundings.

* Ease of access to nearby historic towns & PAU city.

There is a 3rd bedroom option-arranged over 3 floors (additional charge) Over sized single on 2nd floor, under eaves, with wardrobe, armchair.

Downstairs- well equipped fitted kitchen, farmhouse table & chairs, comfortable living area PLUS upstairs 1 king + 1 EN SUITE rainforest style shower room , 1 large twin (2 xOversized single beds) + adjacent family bath/shower room.

Whilst being very peacefully situated on the hilltop above historic Lucq de Bearn, it is easy to reach PAU and many other places of interest.

All bedrooms have views over distant high Pyrenees. NO OTHER RENTAL PROPERTIES ON SITE .

Make your first day hassle free, order a first night supper available freshly prepared in the house on arrival evening.

Secure storage for bikes available at no extra charge. Just pre-book. Bike hire also available in local town.

Note the swimming pool garden area is entered through a gate in the garden wall from Les Vieux Chenes. The owner has a separate entrance for discreet maintainance & occasionally use of the pool. Although you may well not see us again once checked-in, however should you want help or information we can be found behind the gated courtyard, just come and ask.

The bedrooms have bedside tables, bedside lights, additional armchairs or chairs. They also have fans for those warm summer nights and central heating for the winter.

- fully fitted, well equipped kitchen with plenty of crockery & glasses

- large farmhouse dining table & chairs

- comfortable lounge area with sofas, fireplace, flat screen satellite TV (English Free to Air channels) . DVD and PIANO. There is a selection of books, DVDs, guide books and games in the house which you are welcome to use.

Further details outdoors

The POOL (14m x 6m overall) which has extra large Roman steps is great place for cooling down and sipping a drink or two! There are wooden sun loungers with cushions and parasols around the pool.

Your private garden has a lovely old 18th century well house, large, old oak trees providing welcome shade in the heat of the day. There is a private stone terrace, with large terracotta planted pots, outside wooden furniture, parasol and a large stone built barbecue. Both the house and garden overlook the Pyrenees mountains and offers an excellent opportunity to have breakfast outside in the sunshine. The warm evenings are great for relaxing in the garden and cooking produce purchased at a local market, visiting a local restaurant or making use of the personal chef option.

Passing through a gateway in the old garden wall you find the large in-ground POOL (14mx6m overall) with views of almost 360degrees - mountains and valleys with the Jurancon vineyard .

Virtually EXCLUSIVE USE of the pool as the only other occasional user is one of the owners who live behind a courtyard in the adjacent property, however once checked in you are unlikely to see us again as the houses face different directions both are quite private from each other. However, if you want some advice or help just come and knock on our door.

There are NO other rental properties here.

There is plenty of parking. Storage is available for golf clubs & bicycles. There are several sets of golf clubs available for guests to borrow free of charge on request. There is local bike hire in the nearby small town of Navarrenx, please ask for more details

This charming house was fabulous. It was modern and everything was in complete working order. The owner offered exceptional service and was completely helpful in every way. How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Gillian (the owner) a message.

If Gillian (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
