We've stayed in this area a number of times, (nearest previous villa being 100yds down the road.) We (just the 2 of us) found Vivenda Silva to be a "little" bit dated internally, with a slight lack of mains sockets, BUT it was very clean and comfortable, and the exterior including the pool was lovely. The villa isn't overlooked, so the privacy is unbeatable, and the surrounding area is very peaceful and quiet (apart from a nearby residents barking dogs, which weren't too much of a problem for us, but light sleepers may be advised to bring ear plugs.) Carmo the villa manager was very friendly and helpful, and the couple of little hiccups we had were very quickly resolved. If I could make just one suggestion, a small "welcome pack" for renters would be a godsend... just some milk, teabags/coffee, and maybe a little fruit would be well received after the stress and strain of the journey.... to arrive sweaty and tired from airport/carhire and then to immediately have to journey to the shops for some basics is not the best start, and we regularly see such "welcome packs" with other villas. A MAJOR problem we had (although it was nothing to do with the villa or Carmo.) Was the fact that we booked the villa with "Perfect villa escapes" who took our deposit earlier in the year, then 2 weeks before departure reminded us to pay the balance, then after we did this the company went into liquidation 6 days later, although they still seem to be sending out emails, and possibly taking bookings... BE WARNED !!! Overall, we would be happy to use the villa again, and thanks to carmo for her assistance prior to our arrival.

This was our second visit to Casa Vivenda Silva. We first stayed here in 2016 before the aircon was fitted and kitchen refurbished and to be honest those were the only two criticisms which we had. So first of all, we're a family of four so this villa is pretty big. There are two double bedrooms and one twin in the house and I believe there's room for another three people in the granny flat although we did not access to that (no need for it). The pool is very big for four people as you can see from the photos. Its not heated but does get the sun for the bulk of the day (south facing). So yes its a little chilly when you get in but not unpleasant in the least. There is a built in barbecue outside which uses the Mediterranean style grill - i.e very wide bars. It's intended to be used with barbecue baskets (the things we use to barbecue fish in the UK) for all food. These are kept under the sink but I did read a review from someone complaining that their food kept dropping on the coals - sorry but I had to laugh. The villa itself is fine. The kitchen is small and whilst the fridge / freezer were fine for us I guess it might be a struggle if there were more people. The living area is fine although we didn't really use it. It has a small tv with a dvd player and of course wifi !! The location (for us) was fantastic. You are a 10 minute drive from the beaches (Manuel Lorenzo is great) and a 5 minute drive / 20 minute walk to about 5 restaurants. You're also a very short drive, 10 minute walk from a good sized supermarket and a great restaurant (Barco) - whole grilled sea bass for 14 euros cant be argued with. The place was packed with locals every lunchtime and they offer half sized kids portions for half price - quarter of grilled chicken with chips for 4 euros i think. However, despite this the villa feels isolated. There are villas nearby , a couple of hundred meters in either direction but you're on a small road and see very few people. I guess because of this a number of the locals keep a dogs and occasionally they decide to have a good bark but from my perspective it's no big deal. I have seen some reviews on other sites for this villa complaining about this but it didn't bother us and we were certainly not woken up by them. The final highlight was the standard of property management. Carmo the manager has an office near the restaurants and she left us her phone number. Nothing was too much trouble. Over our two visits we had three occasions where we needed to contact her for some minor issues and she responded immediately and resolved them. She is also able to offer discounts on local attractions such as Zoomarine - a pretty cheesy theme park which is a fun day out if you don't expect Disney or Universal and also some local restaurants. I would stress that if there is anything at all which you're not happy about or needs fixing just contact her. Having stayed here twice we really ought to go somewhere else but frankly I suspect we'd only be disappointed.

Spent two weeks at vilvenda silva and had a really good time Just some points, directions we were given are poor ,so you need to put the actual sat nav coordinates too locate. Carmo the local rep is great,very helpful as is the cleaning lady. Villa is in desperate need of another fridge freezer ,one very small freezer compartment is not adequate for 8 people ,we ended up have to shop most days as there was not enough space to store .also bare minimum is left out for cleaning and bbq`s ie brush pans and shovel,mops.we bought our own .no a/c in the living room?? Other than the above villa is nice and quiet ,good wifi ,easy walking distance to a reasonably stocked spar supermarket ,beach is walkable but only 5 mins in a car
