“Claro Cottage”

Reviewed 4 Apr 2017

There were five of us stayed at Claro Cottage, four adults, a two and a half year old girl and two small dogs. We found the cottage to be small but perfectly formed and we did not feel the least bit cramped. It provided everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay. It is neatly tucked away in a courtyard in the middle of Pateley Bridge village, very close to local shops (very good butcher) and amenities. It is also only minutes away from a pleasant riverside walk and public park. It was not possible to park near the door but there was plenty of free street parking very nearby. It was the perfect base for our weekend break, visiting local attractions such as the spetacular Brimham Rocks, Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal. We found the cottage to be comfortable, warm and well appointed. We would definately stay again.

“A perfect cottage in a great location.”

Reviewed 1 Aug 2016

We booked the cottage as a last resort as everywhere else was already booked. We only needed one night but this was not a problem and I also asked a few questions to the owners Michael and Alison and they replied very quickly - I got the impression that nothing was too much trouble and they were happy to give us a bit later check out time on this occasion. The cottage is clean and well appointed and an excellent location to discover Pateley Bridge and Nidderdale. I loved the touch lights in the double room and we all had an excellent nights sleep. It was very quiet even though the 1940s weekend was on and the cottage is just at the back of the high street. We would definitely hire this cottage again!
