“This house is perfect in every way”

Reviewed 24 Apr 2017

We stayed here for 8 nights and did not want to leave. Everything about the house and the location is just perfect with everything you could possibly want or need on a self catering holiday. Spotlessly clean and so very comfortable with views to die for. Who needs a hotel when you find a little gem like this. Thank you Susan for the warm welcome, the jam, marmalade and fresh eggs and we will no doubt be booking again. Regards Anne & Rob

Owner's reply: Thanks so much for the great review, hopefully see you soon.

“Comfortable and spacious cottage in a perfect setting”

Reviewed 7 Jan 2013

Myself, my boyfriend, and four friends stayed in this cottage over the new year period. We had a lovely warm welcome, and enjoyed every second of our stay. The cottage is wonderful - spacious, comfortable, fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Location is great - only 10 or 15 minutes to Castle Douglas which is a lovely little town (also with a Tesco for anything you need!). Setting is absolutely perfect, couldn't believe how fast our week went, we wanted more than anything to stay! Thanks so much, I'm sure we'll be back again!

“Brilliant!!!”

Reviewed 19 Oct 2012

Lovely location, spotless accomoodation, very lovely and helpful owner, even went to the shop and purchased extra hangers for us! Nothing was too much trouble, booked last minute, very last minute, as we had been let down by somewhere else we had booked, owner rushed to get property ready for our arrival, can't fault it, in fact staying again in November!

“Relaxed, friendly hospitality, fabulous views and very well equipped cottage”

Reviewed 9 Sep 2012

The owners were very relaxed about my dog and had no problems with us bringing our boat and we were able to store our bikes in their shed. The cottage was clean and very well equipped and I liked the added extra touch of providing eggs from their chickens and some local jams and pickles. The BBQ was an added bonus too, with fantastic views. We were made to feel very welcome and that nothing was too much problem.

“Lovely, peaceful cottage.”
