Description from owner

Description

Located in the heart of the 9th district (9ieme arrondissement), this charming apartment has been decorated with an eye for detail.

On the second floor of a classical Parisian building (no elevator), It comprises a lobby, a large living room (with a comfortable double sofa bed, a single fold out bed, a dining table and chairs), a bedroom with a double bed and closets, a small but fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine, micro-wave/oven, stove, nespresso, coffee machine, boiler plus all the cutlery you need to cook a fine diner) , a small bathroom with a shower, a separate wc.

Despite being located in one of the "bohemian-bourgeois" hotspots of the city, the apartment is very quiet at night as it overlooks a private courtyard rather than the street.

You can easily walk from Gare du Nord (15 minutes), which comes in handy if you are arriving with Eurostar or Thalys.

Cable TV and fast wifi are provided.

Bed linens and towels are provided.

Location description from owner

The Ile-de-France region

Paris

Situated on the quiet and elegant rue Milton, next to the the upscale rue des Martyrs, it's particularly close to Montmartre and the famous Opéra Garnier (very close itself to the Musée du Louvre); There you can enjoy the shopping mecca of Galeries Lafayette and Printemps, and the luxury jewellery stores from rue de la Paix and Place Vendome, among many others.

The rue des Martyrs is lined with traditional food stores (boulangeries, patisseries, chocolatiers, charcuteries, boucheries, wine cellars, fromagers), fruit and vegetable stores, organic food stores, trendy cafes and restaurants.

The nearby theaters and museums (I strongly recommend the Musée National Gustave Moreau, a hidden gem of a museum, formerly the artist's home and studio, and the Musée de la vie Romantique, where you can enjoy tea in the little, old fashioned garden, away from the hustle and bustle of the city streets) make the whole neighborhood very lively.

As it's very central, you can walk to most tourists attractions.

The nearest metro station, Notre-Dame de Lorette is only 2 minutes away.

Hips of other metro stations and bus stops around.

Many families live in our neighbourhood, with many schools around, making it lively and safe day and night.

“Awesome apartment, absolutely perfect for our long weekend.”

Reviewed 2 Nov 2014

Even before we arrived Charles was so helpful and communicative, which gave us confidence and we weren't disappointed. Flat was in a lovely quiet part of the 9th yet so close to all amenities. Great boulangerie round the corner for fresh bread and croissants! We were a family of 5 and found the flat wonderful. It was spotless, had everything we needed, which was great as we came via Eurostar and were carrying very little! 15 min walk to Montmatre, 5 min walk to Metro line 12. 1-15 min walk from Gare du Nord. Just perfect for sightseeing. Really hope to return. A real gem of a flat which is tastefully kitted out despite being compact and bijou.

“Very we'll taken care of. Would recommend to friends and family.”

Beautiful apartment in good neighbourhood. Easy access to amenities. Had no problem with owner. Reliable.

“Cosy appartment in Paris”

Reviewed 14 Jul 2014

It was a great time for us to stay in this appartment. The communication with our friendly host was easy and everything was as expected. The area is ideal for stay with children. The area is calm an still central, walking distance to the center of Paris(Les Halles/lovre etc) and many other interesting places. Lots of good resturants and shops in the next street (Rue de martyr). The appartment was situated in a typical old paris building and was autentic but still clean and modern.

“Comfortable, clean and well located.”

I stayed in February with my husband, and teenage daughter and son. The accomodation suited us perfectly, as there were 2 sofabeds in living room as well as a seperate double room. It was very comfortable and clean. Charles, the owner was there to greet us and was charming and helpful. Although the WC is seperate, the shower room is through the bedroom which could be problematic if not holidaying with close family. Location was great - there is a choice of metro stations within 5-10 mins walk from the flat and a 15-20 mins walk from Gare de Nord. All good!
