Notre Dame is 2 metro stops away (or a 30' stroll)***

We are only 350 meters from METRO/RER station "Bibliotheque Francois Mitterrand", which is very convenient, as it has both Metro 14 and RER C.

- RER C follows the left bank, and takes you DIRECT to Notre Dame (5'), Musee d'Orsays (10'), Tour Eiffel (18'), Versaille (43')...

- METRO 14 is a fast automatic line, which runs every 2 minutes. It takes you DIRECT to Gare de Lyon (4'), Chatelet-Les Halles (7'), Louvres (9')... (at Chatelet-Les Halles you are at Hotel de Ville, and in the main hub in Paris metro system).

Around the apartment there are also many bus lines and several other metro stations (6,5,7)

*** AREA AND SHOPS: an authentic atmosphere, and a taste of Paris life ***

We are in the district Paris XIII.

"Jeanne d'Arc" (our area in Paris 13) is an artisty area which is pleasant and authentic: the area has maintained a village feeling.

Within 100 meters from your doorstep, you have all the small local stores which make the quality of French life: bakeries, patisseries, fruits, meat, fish, cheese, wine shops... and several nice local restaurants. Twice per week there is even a local street market.

The area around the Bibliotheque Francois Mitterrand is modern; next to the metro station you find the "big names": Starbucks, Monoprix, Decathlon, Darty, etc.. You also have 2 large food stores nearby.

A 10' walk along rue Tolbiac takes you in the "China Town" area, where you find a great deal of excellent inexpensive asian restaurants.

“Fantastic apartment in great location.”

Reviewed 23 Apr 2016

The whole experience in Claudia's unit was well organised and enjoyable. It is a cosy, clean and well equipped unit in a very handy spot close to Metro and only 3 stops from Gare de Lyon. Claudia made us feel very welcome and gave us lots of information about the local area (supermarket, restaurants, pharmacy etc). The bottle of welcome wine was delicious. She was lovely enough to organise so our mail could arrive there from Australia which was fantastic. With the Metro close it was easy to see all the tourist sites and museums. Recommend travelling light as there are stairs to climb with luggage, however we were easily able to get up the stairs with huge bags. Everything was well organised from booking, check-in, midway cleaning through to checkout. Thank- you for an enjoyable stay Claudia. Would definitely recommend staying there.

“Spacious, clean Parisian flat, convenient location, friendly host”

Reviewed 20 Oct 2015

We stayed at this lovely Parisian flat for 8 days in October. Prior to our arrival, the host has sent us a list of very clear instructions on the flat, including transportation, house manual, and food in the surrounding area. Our lovely host greeted us on arrival and devoted time explaining everything to us and answered all our questions. The location of the flat was extremely convenient. It is a very short walk to the Metro/RER. The station has lifts, so it was very large luggage friendly. Walking wise it is very close to the Seine River, and there are a lot of local (and yummy!) eateries (including a bakery just downstairs), as well as grocery stores. There is also a Monoprix (around 800m walk) too! The area also felt very safe. The flat itself is quite spacious and very clean. It has everything you need for a homely, local experience in Paris. Because the kitchen was very well equipped, we were able to try and cook some local French food purchased from the weekend market. Everything was great - I would definitely stay here again next time!

“Cosy home away from home in Paris!”

Reviewed 5 Oct 2015

We had a wonderful stay here for a week, late September. The owner Claudia, is an absolute joy to deal with! The most lovely person, so helpful, thoughtful, organised and prompt in answering any queries. The apartment is lovely, exactly as shown in the photos, only with Claudia's thoughtful extra little touches. Everything was clean and organised with easy to follow instructions and labels. Bed was very cosy and comfy and my husband appreciated the massage chair after a long day out! And the luxury of a soak in the bath! We were met by Isabelle who was also lovely and extremely helpful. The whole process of finding and checking in to the apartment was made so easy by the clear instructions and such welcoming people. The apartment is in a nice residential district, with many restaurants and food shops nearby. There was a lovely bakery/patisserie just across the road. I miss their baguettes already! Despite our very limited French (a few basic words and a big smile!) and it not being a touristy area, we found all the local shopkeepers and restaurant staff to be friendly and most helpful too. It gave you a small taste of living like a local and it was nice to be away from all the souvenir shops for a while! The apartment is a short walk from B. Francois Mitterrand station, on the RER C line and Metro 14. These two lines easily got us to most places we wanted to go and we only needed to change to different Metro lines a few times. The RER C line has you in the centre of Paris in about 2 stops and took us directly to Versailles making that a very easy day trip. We found the rail system so easy, we never investigated the bus options. If felt like a home for our wonderful week in Paris and it was sad to have to leave. After our apartment experience, we would never stay in a hotel and would be only too happy to come back to Paris and stay here again!

“So convenient”

Reviewed 12 Jun 2015

My wife and I stayed at this residence for a week and found it so convenient for transport into Paris (only minutes away) and surrounds. The RER and metro rail lines are a short walk from the apartment and there is local shopping providing everything you need. The apartment was clean, had excellent cooking facilities, could be made warm (as my wife feels the cool) and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The security of the apartment was also good. We found staying slightly out of Paris central thoroughly enjoyable as we immersed ourselves in the local area living a most enjoyable week with the locals of Paris. The owner (Ms Claudia) was so hospitable in ensuring we had everything we need and gave us wonderful directions and interest points making our trip most enjoyable. We would highly recommend this vacation rental to all.

“Best deal in Paris”

Reviewed 29 Oct 2014

This trip was our 5th visit to Paris. Previously, we had stayed at hotels and once at a B & B. Without question, spending this one week at the apartment in the 13th District was by far our most enjoyable experience. When we arrived we were met with a gentleman who provided us with a detailed orientation of the flat and assisted us with our luggage. Previously, Claudia the owner had given extensive information about the local neighborhood as to where to shop and dine. A washing machine was a great benefit as well as free telephone service to the USA and Europe. This is not a "tourist neighborhood" of Paris so it allows you to get a real feel for the city. Transportation is minutes away whether walking to the metro or hoping on a bus. The river Seine is only a few blocks away and we enjoyed strolling along. The security of the apartment ( locked access doors and protected entry way) was top notch. We would absolutely give it a thumbs up for anyone who would like to get an authentic taste of Paris.

“Like our own home, will definitely be back”

Reviewed 18 Aug 2014

The location is very convenient, safe neighborhood. Bathtub is really nice, Claudia leaves two jars of bathing salt, lavender and rose for us to use. My teenage daughter and her high school classmate loves this place very much. The beds are very comfortable. Kitchen is fully equipped. Washing machine and dish washer are my favorite. No dryer, but there's a laundromat right across the street. All in all, we love this place, and we will recommend it to our friends. Thank you, Claudia, for being such a nice host!

“Excelente loft”

Reviewed 1 Jun 2014

“Authentic Parisian Living”

Reviewed 30 May 2014

The location of the apartment is convenient for hopping to anywhere in Paris using the Metro and trains. (Buy a visitor pass for a few days). The neighborhood offered us a small supermarket, memorable French food, baked goodies and Italian specialties. We (two senior women) felt safe walking around even at dusk. The spacious (Paris standard) apartment is esthetic and well equipped, the bathtub heavenly, the beds comfortable, and the nights very quiet. Most commendable is the gracious owner who is credible, reliable, hospitable and extraordinarily communicative.

“Estancia perfecta a precio asequible”

Reviewed 23 Nov 2013

“Excellent stay!”

Reviewed 28 Oct 2013

I spent 5 days in this lovely apartment. I was travelling with my sister. The apartment is spotless, very well equipped with a big fridge, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and a lovely bath tub. I loved the quiteness of the courtyard, the beds are very confy with very good standard of bed linen and towels It is placed at a very convenient distance from all the main Paris attractions. The tube is at 3 minutes walk, and two stops from Notre Dame, 4 stops from Chatelet Les Halles. What we appreciated most was to be able to have half day visit and come back for a rest, a quick salad and leave again for the rest of the day. Claudia is a wonderful host she looks after you from the moment you book until you leave, she is also very accomodating and she anticipates your needs. Her instructions are precise and we had no problems finding the flat and moving around the area with her directions. I would recommend her accomodation without any doubt and I will make sure to contact her next time I go to Paris (which I hope will be very soon).
