The Ile-de-France region

Paris is really the place to be, everything you may want is around, wonderful museums like le Louvre, Orsay (impressionism), Rodin, Carnavalet (about Paris) and so many other ones ; theaters, concerts and opera ; restaurants, bars and shopping ; and around Paris so many castles (Versailles, Fontainebleau, Vincennes ...), gardens, famous cemeteries (père Lachaise not far from bastille), and even beach along riverside of la Seine in summer, so many things to see, you will enjoy.

"Much better than a more costly, generic hotel"

Very nice, clean and tidy rooms. Great breakfast made by Bruno in the mornings and was very good to have his advice / local knowledge for walking routes and things to see and do.

"Cozy and unique apartment stay."

Bruno's apartment in the heart of the Bastille neighborhood provided for a very unique experience and what I feel like was a taste of true authentic Parisian lifestyle. Bruno always went out of his way to make sure that the apartment was clean and that any needs that we had were met. As many reviewers have mentioned, the breakfasts were wonderful and varied, with seasonal fruits, bread, yogurt, fresh orange juice, cheese, meat, etc. Bruno would also specially make me hot tea every morning as I don't drink coffee. :) The apartment itself is very comfortable and the bed is spacious. As other reviewers have mentioned the toilet/bathroom is open but you can get privacy if the other person goes in the bedroom if that is an issue. The view from both balconies is terrific, and although the noise from the street can be loud (there are bars and nightlife relatively close by on the street) the windows do a great job at keeping out the noise if you close them tightly. We were anticipating the 5 flights of stairs leading to the apartment but it was still a bit of a challenge for us when getting up to the apartment. Other than that, the stay was really enjoyable and we would definitely recommend it for someone who is trying to get out of the typical hotel experience and have a fun and memorable experience!

"It's worth going to Paris for Bruno's breakfast!"

Bruno is a fanastic host who fusses over you at breakfast and serves fresh bakery choices and Mum's homemade jams. The bedroom was big and the side room was an added bonus. The bed was even better than the one at home! Bruno made us dinner on night , went to great lengths to ask diet requirements- likes etc, and it was superb.( 20-25 Euro). Very good location at Bastille-close to metro, buses, all sorts of markets. Bruno has a comphrensive tourist brochure stand and library. Located on the fifth floor it would not suit those with mobility restrictions

"The perfect place to stay in Paris!"

Had a fantastic time staying here at Bruno's with my partner! Bruno was a superb host and was great with recommendations for places to visit and eat, along with providing a shelfful of guide books and leaflets on every tourist activity possible, very helpful if you arrive without a plan! The apartment was very cosy, with a view of the scare coeur at one side and the bastille from the other, and included everything you could possibly need. It was easy to find and very close to the Bastille metro, which meant we were able to travel to any part of Paris from this area. The breakfast was fantastic, a perfect way to start the day in beautiful Paris! Would definitely recommend this B&B and would love to stay here again!

"A truely personal and welcoming stay."

Prior to my visit Bruno provided me with lots of information regarding the apartment including very good directions. I was also offered a home cooked meal and because I was arriving quite late in the evening I took Bruno up on this offer. When I arrived I was greated with a friendly tour of the property which was absolutely fantastic. I can not stress enough how beautiful the apartment is and I think it would be perfect for some one travelling on their own or with another. The meal which Bruno cooked for me was beautiful, 3 courses and without a doubt worth the 20 euros. As I was travelling alone, Bruno made me feel very welcome and gave me many tips on where to go for food and drink. Paris has many things to see but with Bruno's expert knowledge I was able to narrow down what I wanted to see. I will certainly be recommending Bruno's apartment to my friends and I'm sure I will return to stay very soon.

"The perfect base for a Paris adventure.. Beautiful Bastille !!"

From the first email to enquire about this place it has been a pleasure. Nothing is too much trouble for Bruno.. Where do I start?? The location is perfect to feel like you are experiencing Paris.. The streets are relaxed, the people are friendly, the bar down the road "the lab" has cheap cocktails, the patisserie down the street is amazing!!! Then you get into Bruno's b&b.. The stairs are a bit of a climb after all day sight seeing but it adds the the beauty of the place. The photos do not lie... It is spacious by Paris standards, with a great bed (yes a real bed, not a fold out..) Every morning we indulged ourselves with a wonderful breakfast ( I just wish I could fit it all in..) just book it, you won't be disappointed
