“Superb apartment and a wonderful location”

Reviewed 23 Feb 2016

Second time, and surely not the last time, at this wonderful apartement. The apartement is located in a beautiful Haussmannian building, overlooking a park - Bois de Vincennes, in a very quiet neighborhood. We felt really safe and "at home" walking at the neighborhood and at the park, shopping at the local shops, and eatting (too many) pastries. The apartment is spacious, clean, bright and very well equipped, with free WiFi and Phone calls - local and international. It is not located at the center of Paris, and for us it was a great advantage. On the one hand It is about 15 minutes walk (or a few bus stops) from the Metro station, which connects you to all Paris, and on the other hand it gives you an escape from all the hustle and bustle of the city, allows you to feel like a real Parisien and not like a tourist, and of course to explore the nearby attractions. The price is really decent - You would pay the double for an apartment in a more central location. Highly recommended.

“Perfect apartment in very nice surroundings”

Reviewed 24 May 2015

Indeed very quiet and spacious place. There is everything you need. Separate rooms, high windows overlooking park, sunny. Very good quality/price ratio! Absolutely great and calm neighbourhood, you will love getting back home after busy center of Paris. It's very important to relax and recharge your batteries in quiet place after hectic days in city center. Corinne replied fast, everything went smooth. You will get the feeling you are a local the day you arrive. Our trip was fantastic! Stay longer, see more!

“A Wonderful Home From Home in Paris”

Reviewed 3 Apr 2015

This lovely apartment was ideal for us, a place we immediately felt relaxed and at home. It had everything we could have needed and we had no problems whatsoever. The beds were extremely comfortable and large, which is great if your better half likes to take up more than their fair share. There was plenty of space in the apartment that we never felt overcrowded, even with four adults. The area the apartment is situated was described by our Taxi driver from as a 'Real Parisian' part of the city and he was not wrong. There are a number of wonderful little cheesemongers, butchers, bakers and chocolatiers... even the basic supermarkets are great. The view of the park from the flat is something we already miss, which also makes it a very quite area, perfect if you want a little sleep in. We only used the Metro from Saint Mande so we cannot comment on the busses but we found the Metro system easy enough to understand and it never took too long to get anywhere in Paris. It takes a good 10 minute walk but that way you discover all the shops, cafes, bars and markets by default. Given our basic understanding of French the TV offered very little for us to watch and if we had thought on we would have taken some films on a external drive (it has a USB port) for those nights we decided to eat back at the apartment. However, the WiFi is excellent and so we streamed music and radio on our Tablet. The apartment does have a music system but we never used it. The owner Corinne was lovely to deal with and she was always happy to answer any questions we had. Next time we are in Paris this will be the place we'd want to stay, without doubt.

“Baguettes, Chocolate, and Charm”

Reviewed 11 Jan 2015

The apartment was clean, comfortable, and in a superb location to get to different areas of Paris. It was very accessible to both bus and metro stops, and the Sainte Mande' area was charming. The four of us enjoyed shopping in the local businesses (baguettes and chocolates fresh every day!), and also shopped in the morning market area. Even though it was cold, we spent several pleasant hours on Christmas Day walking in the park right outside the apartment. Corinne was an excellent host, and was very accessible when we had questions. We enjoyed our stay immensely!

“cosy apartment - comfortable beds”

Reviewed 6 Dec 2014

My family and I had an enjoyable stay at this cosy apartment - comfortable beds. The amenities in the apartment were adequate and the supermarkets were within walking distance as described by the host. The bus station is just 100m away and two bus services (86 and 325) took us to the St. Mande metro station on Line 1. The "Navigo" metro and bus card came in handy. The park was just across the apartment and the morning walks before breakfast was a fitting prelude to the day's excursion. Overall, the location was strategic and the host responded promptly to my inquiries.

“Beautiful, Quiet, Welcoming”

Reviewed 28 Jul 2014

We stayed a week in Paris with our two older teenagers. We are so grateful to have found this beautiful apartment. Although it is not in the most central location of Paris, all major sites are easily accessible on the metro. The added bonus is that after a long day of sightseeing, you walk home from the metro, pick up some wine, bread and cheese at the many grocers and bakers along the way back to the apartment, and relax with three sets of french windows flung wide to the lush greenery of the Bois des Vincennes just across the street. It was wonderful having two rooms and a couch to nicely accommodate all of us. Corinne was very helpful and met us upon arrival with advice and tips. And the place was immaculate! Thank you!

“Beautiful and spacious apartment”

Reviewed 26 May 2014

I packed my parents off to Paris for their 70th birthdays and they loved it! The best way to get a feel for any city is to stay in an apartment and they are so much better value than an hotel. Corinne's apartment lived up to their expectations, and mine, it was immaculate spacious and and very comfortable. Mum and dad were over the moon with it and I think my husband and I are now tempted to visit. Corinne was great with providing details about the booking, the apartment and the area of St Mande. Thanks Corinne

“A Splendid Home Away From Home !”

Reviewed 26 Apr 2014

This place was in a great location and easily accessible to public transportation. The rooms were spacious and had a great view of the park. The beds were comfortable and the neighborhood is nice and quite - great after a long day of sightseeing. The owner of the property was very helpful and provided us with a wealth of information about the neighborhood. I highly recommend renting this place.

Really comfortable apartament newly refurbished with all kitchen and bathroom facilities. You do feel like a long expected guest and not purely the tenant. Beautiful surroundings ,opposite the park-forest St. Vincennes including ZOO.garden. Very good connection by metro line 1 with the city centre. Worth its price. “Very quiet and cozy, felt like home.”

Reviewed 25 Jan 2014

We brought our daughter for her college graduation. The 2 bedroom apartment was perfect. All the comforts of home. It had everything we needed. It felt warm and cozy every day when we got home from site seeing. Was close to the metro, cafes and a lot of other shops. No car was needed to get around. It was outside of busy Paris which is what we wanted. Right across the street from an open space/park. Totally secure w/ the outside gate and codes to get through the gate and into the building. We would love to stay there again when we go back to France in the Spring.
