St Honoré has been renovated to the highest of standards. Bathroom ceramics from Italy, sold oak wood floor from the US, Philippe Starck bathrooms and hand-made curtain by Toiles de Mayenne' Paris. We quote these as examples of the high standards that our guest can expect from this property.

Sleeps up to 8 - comfortably, comprises 3-double bedrooms (1 King size, 2 singles/1 King-Size1 Queen, ), 1 bathroom with tub, stand-up shower and WC, 1 shower room/WC, drawing room/dining room (seats 6-8), fully- equipped kitchen: dishwasher, washer-drier etc. Air conditioning. South-facing, bright, located on the 3rd floor of a quintessentially Parisian 17th century timbered building. Beamed ceilings, traditional oak parquet floors. Sofa bed tailor-made for everyday use and guaranteed to be as comfortable as a top quality regular bed.

Beds are the most comfortable, linens from the prestigious 'White Company' in London, suppliers to leading British/ Parisian hotels. Large plasma screen TV, DVD and a high-speed Wi-Fi internet connection (free of charge).

My promise to my guests is that they will be as comfortable as in a good 4-star a 4 star boutique Parisian hotel and for a fraction of the price. To this end, my business model is such that I can offer what I believe to be unbeatable rates for such a high standard of accommodation.

Local Metro stations: Pont Neuf and Louvre-Rivoli (both 1min walk, if that!). The Louvre museum and the Seine are both literally a block away, the 6th and St Germain are just over the river (walk over Pont Neuf or the pedestrian Pont des Arts). The calm of this stretch of the rue St Honoré defies the apartment's central location. A bit of local trivia: Molière lived a few doors down, no doubt handy for when granted the use of the Salle du Petit-Bourbon at the Louvre.

An English-speaking agent who will greet you upon arrival, show you around and answer any questions that you might have either about the apartment, local amenities or of course Paris!

Pad-A-Terre has featured in a number of international journals over the past years: The Independent Traveller magazine. The Independent on Sunday, selected Pad-A-Terre as the definitive Parisian vacation rental choice: 'Live like a local, the magic of moving in'...Both of these articles are available for viewing on our site. We in fact get frequent write-ups in a wide range of international publications. Others include - The Boston Globe International Living...

'WE ARE UNIQUE on TripAdvisor'

I am the founder and owner of Pad A Terre through which I manage my portfolio of properties in Paris which I own personally. This makes us different to most on here and indeed elsewhere on the net in that we are neither stand-alone private owners renting direct to guests, nor are we an agency that makes money out of commissions that you pay. For our guests this means you get all the advantages of renting direct from the owner yet in a more professional context. In my mind the service behind the apartment is of equal importance for our guests above all in this rapidly expanding market I've been committed to that as a business owner since 2000.

I buy apartments that are well placed for the market, in only the best areas of town, knock them to the ground and rebuild (with a very clever architect) to create a space that has your needs as a short-term visitor in mind. Location is key of course and all apartments are of course safe and near museums, good restaurants, shops, markets etc.

Our business model is such that we are highly streamlined from a cost-perspective and can thus offer what we believe to be amongst the most competitive rates for this standard of accommodation and in some of the best areas of Paris. Because we are small, we offer a very personal service. The enjoyment that we get out of running this business is in encouraging and showing our guests how to enjoy the 'real' Paris. To that end we provide plenty of suggestions for restaurants, shopping, site seeing etc.

My apartments are covered by the PARIS TOWN HALL VACATION RENTAL LICENCE. This is a legal requirement. If an owner does not have this, you do run the risk of your dates being cancelled by the owner.

Outside of running this business, I love art, music, good food and wine. I'm a committed (albeit amateur) classical singer.

We look forward to welcoming you to Paris.

Location description from owner

The Ile-de-France region

You could not be more centrally located in Paris.

Your local Metro stations are Pont Neuf and Louvre-Rivoli (both 1min walk, if that!). The Seine river and Louvre Museum are merely a block away, St Germain and the 6th arondissement are just over the river (walk over the Pont Neuf or pedestrian Pont des Arts). The calm of this stretch of the rue St Honoré defies the apartment's central location. A bit of local trivia: Molière lived a few doors down, no doubt handy for when granted the use of the Salle du Petit-Bourbon at the Louvre.

Some of the best restaurants in town are to be found in the vicinity. At Pad A Terre we are passionate about ensuring your experience of the city is a unique one and to this end will give you access to our city guide, suited to culturally savvy local Parisians and adventurous visitors alike.

As for food shopping you are spoilt for choice there are local markets, independent producers, cheese and wine merchants and of course being the rue St Honoré a host of high-end fashion options.

“Highly recommend, modern apartment in fantastic location”

Reviewed 28 Jan 2016

Excellent experience! The best part is the apartment's amazing location -- on a cute street with many restaurants and coffee shops, and if you're a tourist very close to key sites -- just minutes from the Louvre, 15 minute walk to Notre Dame, etc. The apartment itself was very clean, modern, and spacious enough (for Paris!) Small touches like high-end towels and heater added to the experience. Highly recommend.

“Do Not Hesitate. You Must Rent This Apartment!”

Reviewed 6 Jan 2016

This is a fabulous apartment. You do not have to spend one minute wondering if you made the correct choice. This apartment has it all. It is in the best location in all directions. 5 minutes to the Louvre, 5 minutes to the Rue de Rivoli. 10 minutes to Marais. 5 minutes to Place Vendome. And plenty of metro stops within a couple of blocks to take you anywhere you want to go to in Paris. It is a darling apartment with stores, cafes and restaurants right down the street. The apartment is decorated very nicely with artwork on the walls, good furnishings, and nice linens. I have stayed in many apartments in Europe, so I have a good basis of comparison. And this rental, at this price, can not be beat. James was a wonderful host. He contacted us everyday to make sure that we were comfortable, and made great recommendations for dinner. If you stay here, definitely go with his choices. They were always spot on. So go for it! You won't be disappointed.

“Location and fantastic service!”

Reviewed 19 Sep 2015

The location of this apartment puts you at the heart of the city and within walking distance to all Paris offers. When not walking, the excellent metro is a hop away at Les Halles . I spent a week in Paris with my two sisters and we loved the apartment, so much better than staying at a hotel. James and Eveline were the kindest hosts and very professional. Nice touches with fresh flowers and milk and juice in the fridge to start us off. Great wifi service and a/c units in each room. This apartment has everything you could need right outside your door too, an amazing bakery to the right, a store to the left with a larger store down the block. Stairs no elevator in the building but we are in our 50's and didn't mind this at all. Extremely secure and safe building too.

“Great place, location; exactly what we hoped for.”

Reviewed 20 Mar 2015

This is a very nice apartment in a beautiful part of Paris. Near the Louvre. Not far from Notre Dame. Two major metro stops within a few blocks. Very nice shops, bakeries and markets in the neighborhood. The apartment was clean, everything worked. Felt very much at home. Only caution: Must climb three flights of stair. Not a problem for us, but something to consider for some people.
