Very Good

This was our second year visiting John and Jane at La Maison Grange. The Van Gogh gite is fantastic, it has everything you need for a perfect holiday. As usual John and Jane were brilliant hosts, always happy to help with suggestions on where to go and what to do. We also enjoyed the welcome drinks where we met lots of new friends and some old ones from last year. We never usually visit the same place twice but the Van Gogh has so much to offer with the beautiful pool and the fantastic summer house that out two boys enjoyed. We are also looking forward to visiting La Maison Grange for a third year next summer. Thank you John and Jane for another amazing summer holiday.

“Expectations surpassed”

La Maison Grange siutuated south of Charlais in the Durdogne near the River Dronne. Exceptionally well refurbished Chateaux and Gites, done with care and sensitivity and no small financial outlay. The range of Gites offer flexibility for holidays from a couple to family groups of six. Stayng at Van Gough, for the second time, we were not failed to be impressed with style and comfort. Hosted by John and Jane, you're welcomed and introduced to Parcoul in a way that you would expect. Whether you are looking for a break from the grind of life or pressure of work or you need to recharge those batteries having burnt the candle at both ends. In the centre of five of the best vintage regions of France, steeped in historical cities and wonderful scenery. The area can be ideally used as a hub for activities such as walking canoeing, sailing, fishing, and eating and drinking - well the body doesnt work empty. You would be a fool to miss one of John/Janes invitations to dine. Exceptional value whether to fly/drive via Bordeau, driving via Euroshuttle or St. Malo. Try it and find out where the sun hides, all year.

“this relaxing holiday ticked all the boxes for us.”

Lovely loction in a tranquil countryside setting, there are plenty of choices for walking, cycling and a country play park within easy walking distance. The Van Gogh is of a very high standard, fully equiped kitchen, fridge/freezer, washing machine, walk in shower, comfortable beds and lounge area with satelite TV. The pool area is child friendly and perfect for lounging in the sun. Easy access to places of interest, St Emillion is a protected Unesco town famous for its fine wines and a must visit,. followed by Bordeux, Congac and Bergerac. Local markets are a must for bargains, local craft, wonderful food and soaking up the local atmosphere. Hosts John and Jane, with thier wealth of knowledge of local places and events are only too happy to answer any queries that may arise. This is a must do holiday and we cant wait to return.

“Friendly hosts; clean, beautiful, comfortable gite; fab pool.”

We had a great week staying in the Van Gogh gite. The gite was comfortable, clean and spacious with alovely outdoor area to BBQ in. The pool was safe for small children, cleaned everyday and a fantastic size. The view from the back garden was lovely. If you want a quiet gite away from all hustle and bustle this is the one you want! John and Jane were very welcoming and hosted a welcome evening and a fantastic BBQ evening when we enjoyed lovely food, wine and company. Recommended without reservation!! We'll definately be returning.
