"Lovely villa, home from home"
Just returned today fromTarpon Springs, The villa is a lovely size and has all the amenties required for a relaxing stay. The rooms are very big and the balcony has a very pleasant view of the marina. Head out in the sunshine and you are likely to be amazed at the local wildlife, darting lizards, terepins and the famous crocodile that comes in most nights who only has three legs. Be warned however he is big not the small caymen as some suggested. The nearby beaches are beautiful as decribed. Honeymoon island was our favourite and we had a dolphin swim past us on the first morning whilst collecting shells. Clearwater Beach itself is probably better suited for children due to the sand in the water and all amenities but get there early as parking becomes difficult as the day goes on. Tarpon Springs a couple of miles up the road has everything you need, Walmart etc for all food , towels etc etc and handy restuarants including the famous rustie bellies (we loved this) Panero bread and Cody's. Be warned however Cody's is so popular we could not even get into the car park one evening so do go early especially with kids. Whilst in Tarpon itself have a quick look at the sponge docks and take a boat trip out to the nearby islands where you are guaranteed to see dolphins , osprey and shells galore.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay in your 2 bedroom apartment, it is well appointed and kept clean and tidy, everything we needed was on hand including beach chairs, beach umbrella and coolers to borrow. We found the new keyless entry system a real boon, no worrying about losing the key. The pool and hot tub at the complex were great and we had them to ourselves most of the time. We travelled into Tampa to go to Busch Gardens and Adventure Island water park four times in the fortnight. Locally our favourite place to visit was Honeymoon Island. Eating in the USA is always an experience, if only for the size of the portions, but we particularly enjoyed Billy's Tarpon Turtle, Cody's Roadhouse and Plum Tomatoes Pizzeria. Referring back to a previous review, yes, the property is located just of a major highway, but do not let this put you off, we never noticed any traffic noise and driving was easy and relaxed. I would highly recommend this apartment as a base for a holiday in this area.

"Great base for a young family"
Having spent 7 nights in a small hotel in Orlando and another 4 nights in Clearwater beach in another cramped room (2 adults and 2 kids) this was a welcome apartment with lots of space. Area was lovely and peaceful and everyone around the site very friendly. We had almost sole use of the pool and sitting in the hot tub was something we all enjoyed. We also made use of the fishing rods that Mark has and caught a few fish on some bread. The kids loved it and just another great memory of the holiday. We had a great time exploring the local area as well as having our own space Favourite places visited were....All the national state parks - Anderson (for small alligators), John Chesnut (bigger alligators), Honeymoon Island (great nature centre and we also saw a rattlesnake), Fred Howard park (tortoises). Favourite restaurants were.....Tarpon turtle was lovely to sit outside with great food and a superb location. We were all transfixed with the alligators. We also enjoyed Cody's roadhouse which was great food (and plentiful) Handy tips to future visitors and or recommendations of places to visit or see were....Try and find the Tarpon Turtle - it really is a lovely setting for a meal (as well as good food). Alt 19 is probably as quick as highway 19 when heading towards Clearwater. Clearwater aquarium can be very busy on a rainy day and to look out for buy one get one free vouchers on the internet (other it works out as $70 for a family of four which is a bit excessive)

"Comfortable Condo in Convenient Location"
This condo is part of the 40 unit complex of “Tarpon Villas” which was completed in the mid 90s. Its residents, in almost equal numbers, are Permanent owners, Permanent renters, US Holiday Owners (Snowbirds), and as in our case, Holiday renters. There are four sizes of condo on the complex and this is one of the largest. We have been renting in Tarpon Villas for nine years now and must have visited at least a dozen times, staying for up to 6 weeks on each occasion. Suffice to say we think it is a really great area to holiday in. There are many lovely towns nearby (Dunedin, Safety Harbor, Tarpon Springs), some really great beaches (Howard Park, Sunset, Honeymoon Island and, of course, Clearwater), attractive parks (John Chestnut, Anderson, Brooker Creek), the Pinellas Trail for bikers and walkers, shops and malls galore, and more golf courses that one could possibly list. If that does not fill your holiday diary then you can rent a boat from the yard next door and explore the waters of Lake Tarpon. We stayed in this particular condo for six weeks in October/November 2012 for the first time as a result of our previous condo being withdrawn from the rental market. Although you might say the change was forced upon us, we have been very happy with the outcome. The condo is on the first floor (higher ceilings), it is light, airy and spacious with pleasant views from both front and rear balconies. It is clean, comfortable and well equipped. We find the condo location convenient. It is about 120 yards off US19, the main artery in the area. This gives easy access to many of the best local restaurants: Olive Garden, Carrabbas, Outback, Long Horn, and for something a little different, Codys Roadhouse. It is also situated directly behind the Lake Tarpon Resort, which gives the dual benefit of providing easy walking access to a sports bar/restaurant whilst shielding the complex from the main road. Overall the condo represents good value, particularly when you consider the extra space gained compared with a hotel of similar cost. The shrubbery, boardwalks, boat docks and swimming pool/Jacuzzi areas of the complex are kept in good condition by the locally run association. Our experience is that, for the most part, it is a quiet and peaceful environment which we would recommend to anyone considering booking. We ourselves rebooked for another 6 weeks in 2013 and our intention is to return every year for 6 weeks.

"Had a brilliant stay. Clean accommodation & very spacious."
We recently stayed here. Had a brilliant stay. Lovely clean accommodation & very spacious. Everything we needed was in the apartment - even a hairdryer! A bonus was the use of the computer/internet access & of course the fishing rods ! Spent a lot of time fishing on Lake Tarpon from the Dockside bar (staff there were good & even brought us our takeaway lunches!). Went on a 1/2 day fishing trip with Steve Preiss (Steve's Discount Lake Tarpon Bait & Tackle Shop), very knowledgeable man & everyone caught fish on the lake. Would definitely return & recommend to others.

"A Really Good North Tampa Location"
'We stayed in the two bed apartment in September 2012. The apartment is very well equipped, comfortable and welcoming. The pool is excellent and well maintained. The location is perfect for exploring the local area, with a wide variety of attractions from beaches ,lakes, state parks and charming village communities. (Dunedin is certainly worth a visit or two!) there is a large choice of places to eat and more shops than you could ever hope to visit. (so pack light on arrival, as you are likely to end up with many purchases, during your visit!) Mark has created an excellent supporting 'facts' document on the accommodation and local(and greater Florida) area, which is particularly helpful. There is also the fabulous Florida people and weather. Although we encountered an internet connection issue on arrival, Mark quickly resolved this matter by sending local expertise to fix the problems. - very impressive indeed. Mark takes great pride in his apartments and this shows from your first contact with him. We have no hesitation in recommending these apartments, as an excellent base for a great, relaxing vacation.

We rented the ground floor apt recently. Plenty of room & good to have PC with internet access. We enjoyed the on site swimming pool. A very good base for exploring this interesting area. Closest beach is Fred Howard Park in Tarpon Springs, and Clearwater beach is an easy drive also. Plenty to do in the area, not just beaches. We will be back.
