Description from owner
Straight onto the beach! A beach-side bungalow converted from an early 1900's southern railway carriage, complete with etched glass and the old slam doors. Often described as quirky it has been extended to provide cozy accommodation, with an easy living, open plan spacious living room which has wall to wall windows overlooking the beach and sea. Has a beach side patio, a private sun bathing patio and parking for 2-3 cars. You can have your feet in the sea within seconds of leaving the patio. Remove yourself from the rush of daily life and enjoy a totally quite location with hardly ever more than a dozen people on the beach, even in high season. Ideal for relaxing 'get away from it all holiday', swimming, fishing, and winter bird watching. You can even try catching local shrimp for your tea.
The property has three small bedrooms with a 4'6" bed, a 4' bed and a 3' single bed. There is also a fold out double futon bed in the living room. There is gas central heating to radiators and hot water on demand for the kitchen, toilet and shower room. All windows are fully double glazed.
The kitchen is well equipped including a double oven and microwave. There is a washer/dryer and freezer in the shed! The living room has a 32" TV with Freeview, TV recorder and DVD player. There are books to read and games to play. There is free to use Wifi and a printer (no guarantee on ink capacity!). You might even find some beach balls, bats and crab lines stored in one of the bedrooms.
Outside there is a BBQ, garden seating and two sun loungers. If you are really feeling energetic and don't hold me liable, there are three kayaks you could try paddling. There are wet-suits and buoyancy aids either in the shed or in the third bedroom if you dare; and even a 100m long rope with a beach anchor, so that yo can secure inexperienced kayakers and not loose them over the horizon.
Points to be aware of:
Because it is partly a raised railway carriage there are two narrow steps leading from the kitchen, shower and toilet area to the living room and bedrooms area (see photo above). These steps may be tricky for the very elderly or physically disabled especially if needing the toilet during the night. Those visiting with dogs have occasionally asked; is the garden secure?; it is as long as you keep the gate shut!

“Amazing break with view to die for”
We visited Moonshine for 3 nights as a 'mini moon' following our wedding. It was an amazing break, so relaxing and with the most beautiful view. Moonshine was warm and cosy, with comfortable sofa and beds. We would really recommend this place if you need to recharge your batteries, it's so peaceful. We will absolutely be back!

The location was great, beach right on your doorstep, pet friendly. Very comfortable, with everything we needed, cater for all our needs. We'll definitely return.
“moonshine is marvelous!”
This was our 5th visit to Moonshine and it gets better every time! It has always been heaven for dogs (and humans) but Ivor has now secured the garden so it is contained and safe. The view from the lounge is magical and the bungalow is very clean and well equipped. Ivor is a great host - very efficient in responnding to any queries. We are looking forward to staying again next year - I can't imagine a year without it!
“Amazing weekend on the Costa del pagham!”
We were lucky enough to visit during our mini heatwave and had the most fantastic weekend on the beach and kayaking in the sea. Ivor was a wonderful host and we will be back soon.
“A lovely, clean and cosy property with fabulous views”
Moonshine is a fantastic place to stay. We were lucky to have a full moon on most evenings. Great to sit on bench outside and listen to the waves, look at the stars and have the moonlight glistening off the sea. Pagham has everything you require and you can walk forever on the beach. The property is very welcoming, warm and clean. Would recommend to anyone. Can't wait to visit again.
“Ladies only at the Moonshine”
Booked the Moonshine on recommendation for a girlie weekend. Thoroughly enjoyed being by the sea, walking along the beach and watching the beautiful sunrise and sunset. Facilities were very good and accommodation slightly quirky. Only downside is that there's only one WC and shower room is very small. Overall a lovely stay.
We had a perfect bright and blustery stay at Moonshine. Our children(6&9)adored being able to play on the Beach whilst we sat nursing coffee/Wine (depending on the time of day!) and watched them from the warmth of 'Moonshine'. It was such a great get-away for us. Perfect! Thank you for letting us stay at your very well created little slice of heaven. Many Thanks again - We just can't wait to come back! The Scottow's x
I stayed with 3 friends for a weekend of relaxation. Have been here before and will be back again for the views and beach walks and relaxation in a cozy accommodation. Perfect place to unwind!
“Very relaxing stay for New Year's!”
Lovely beachside cottage. Perfect for a small family. Really enjoyed relaxing with a seaview for a few days over New Year's. My daughter and I (and our staffie) had a lovely 2 day stay at moonshine!The views from the property were beautifully relaxing and peaceful. The owners have made sure that everything you could possibly need is at hand in this comfortable and homely bungalow. We loved the train carriage in the middle which added a little quirkiness to it! Would definitely visit again.

If Ivor (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
