From the owner

Set inside the bounds of the beautiful Perigord national park.Our former barn has been completely renovated into a high specification holiday home in the Limousin region of France. Ideally based for the airport, rail station and city of Limoges (20 Minutes away) as well as north/south bound 'Route Nationale', our holiday cottage sits across a wide courtyard from our main farm house BnB. The cottage is close enough that guests can be assured we able to provide any advice or help if needed, yet not so close as to feel overlooked.

There is a small front garden with seating for 2 where you can sit with your morning coffee and watch the sun rise while at the same time, your other guests can be enjoying and early morning dip in the hot tub.. At the rear you will find a private courtyard garden with sun loungers, BBQ, Sun sail to provide a shady retreat, and a heated spa/hot tub (Please note that the hot tub is an optional extra available all year round for an additional charge of €5 per day to cover electricity and cleaning. You can use the tub at any time during your stay by letting us know which days you would like to have it running. The tub can take up to 24 hours to reach the correct temperature so please let us know when you would like to use it and pay the daily rate in cash).

Inside the property you will find all you need in a home from home.

Should you not want to roam too far from home, you are welcome to cross the courtyard to the farmhouse and make use of the pool with its gated sundeck and loungers where you can have a drink from our wine and beer fridge, or in the evening, a meal. We also have around 2 acres of garden which you can use to relax, play and enjoy views over the surrounding countryside.

The cottage has been completely refurbished for 2019 and has all new kitchen appliances, Living room seating and TV/DVD etc. upstairs you will find all new beds, bedding and towels.

This is a fantastic base for both couples and families alike with many activities on your doorstep. From cycling many of the cycle paths on our free to use mountain bikes, to go-cart track; fishing and untold places of historic and visual beauty. Slightly further away we have several lakes with sand beaches, water-sports and many other outdoor activities.

If you book during the cooler months, we will supply you 2 free baskets of firewood, additional baskets can be purchased, at cost, if and when you would like them.

PLEASE NOTE: YOUR BOOKING INCLUDES A BASIC CLEAN AND LAUNDRY SERVICE AFTER YOU CHECK OUT. This fee does not include cleaning the oven and hob etc. because you didn't have time, forgot or don't think you need to. It also doesn't cover repainting the walls or scraping crud off the floors or putting the children's toys away. PLEASE LEAVE THE COTTAGE AS YOU FOUND IT. Please don't bring, or invite, additional guests without written consent from us; extra charges apply for additional and overnight guests not included in your booking.

If you need firewood, we can supply bulk orders at cost price or by the wheelbarrow for a fee. We supply you with one basket of firewood plus kindling and a box of firelighters per booking. PLEASE LEAVE THE COTTAGE AS CLEAN AS YOU FOUND IT, AS EXTRA CLEANING WILL BE CHARGED. Please do not invite overnight or additional guests without written permission.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Daren (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
