Padstow

The area surrounding Padstow is a beautiful location with some of the most stunning beaches in the whole of Cornwall. The local scenery is breath-taking and has recently been featured in the hit TV series Poldark.
Padstow itself is a picturesque harbour town. In more recent times it has been made famous by Rick Stein and you can find his famous Seafood restaurant here, along with several other top quality eateries. Padstow is a food lovers heaven with top notch seafood restaurants, but also some of Cornwalls best pasties, ice cream and fish and chips, which can be enjoyed sitting by the harbour watching the world go by.
The 7 Bays Beaches stretch from Padstow to Porthcothan and are all amazing. There is a 'different bay for every day' but you are sure to find a favourite and want to return there again and again. Surfing is popular here and there are many places locally to hire or buy boards and wetsuits. There are also fantastic golf courses and walking opportunities galore.
Rumford itself is a small rural village just 10 minutes drive from Padstow and 5 minutes drive from the village of St Merryn and the 7 Bays Beaches. If you are looking for somewhere away from the crowds, even in the height of season, then Rumford is the place for you. Rumford is also close to the A30 so provides easy access to other major tourist attractions in Cornwall such as the Eden Project and Crealy Adventure Park.
