Padstow

The beautiful River Camel estuary and the Camel Trail cycleway connects the delightful and picturesque towns of Wadebridge and Padstow. From your holiday home base the fishing town of Padstow which has now become famous through Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant, his cafes and shops, is a gastronomic haven. Wadebridge town has enjoyed a resurgence in its fortune through the prosperity of Padstow and both are well worth a visit whilst on holiday in Cornwall.Away from your self catering accommodation you can enjoy river and sea cruises to spot the local coastal wildlife, fishing or just take the family to the many beaches around Padstow, or take a ferry from Padstow harbour to Rock made popular with the London Café Society. The expansion of Newquay Airport has seen Wadebridge and Padstow gain popularity and with Newquay only 20 minutes away by car it is now the surfing capital of the UK. Also by car you can visit the Eden Project near St Austell and the spectacular scenery of Bodmin Moor and Jamaica Inn is certainly worth a visit.

“nice stay with a few tweaks needed..”

Reviewed 11 Aug 2015

The willows was a very spacious and clean lodge, plenty of space for 2 families to live together comfortably. However there are a few things that would make the lodge 5 star, the decking was very tired, rusty bbq, downstairs tv not working although to be fair we did report to owner and they tried to fix but still never worked and upstairs shower pressure not very good. Our main issue was the noise from the wood yard situated directly over the hedge, this was our alarm call every morning at 7 am, had we known about this situation we would not have booked . Having said that the lodge is very nice and I would recommend if you are early risers so for young families would be perfect.

Thank you for your review of The Willows. We have advised the Owners about the observations you have made in particular the yard next door and this is being followed up by the Resort. Kind regards, The SCC Booking Team

“Lovely lodge, spacious and well equiped”

Reviewed 28 Jul 2015

We really enjoyed our stay at The Willows. A beautiful lodge with plenty of fun facilities available on the Retallack estate. Also very close to Padstow which is charming and full of great places to eat.. We were a group of six with ages ranging from 8 years to 68 years and we were all happy!

Thank you for your positive review of The Willows. We are pleased you found the self catering accommodation well equipped and suitable for a large family and in a good location to explore Padstow and the coast. We look forward to seeing you again next year. Kind regards, The SCC Booking Team

“Excellent Property”

Reviewed 12 Apr 2013

Stayed here with family, six adults and two children, under five. The property is spacious, with a lot of natural light. Good spaces to lounge on large sofas, both upstairs and down. Comfortable beds, quality bedding. Would definitely recommend it. The site itself appears to be well-run, although the shop is very small - does not sell much. Didn't eat at the restaurant. We all agreed it was a great place to stay.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We have noted your positive feedback and we have advised the owner accordingly. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Kind regards from the SCC Booking Team
