The new kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher and clothes washer and all the usual kitchen accessories. The living room has a 32in flat screen TV and blue-ray player. There is a new bathroom with whirlpool bath. One double bedroom is on the lower floor and the other two are on the upper floor with the shower, with large walk-in rain shower. The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region

Oz-en-Oisans is part of the Alps d'Huez ski region, and the surrounding are is beautiful. A weeks ski pass allows you a day access to Les Deux Alps which is about 30mins drive away. Close by is the National Park of Ecrins, with stunning unspoilt scenery. The town of Bourg d'Oisans is worth a visit especially on Saturday mornings for the market.
The villages of venoc and St Cristophe are very beautifu mountain villages.

Oz en Oisans

Oz Station has all the facilities you need, Ski School, Ski Hire, and nursery slopes & Toboggon area. In the village itself there is a small supermarket, boulangerie (2), swimming pool, ice rink.

Alpsd'Huez boasts the longest black ski run in Europe, even though the lower sections are not really black...but it is a great run. The runs above Vaujany tnd to be quieter than around Alp d'Huez.

Summertime there is a amazing selection of mountain bike routes from cross country to crazy downhill runs. And of course the famour 21 hairpin bends of the Tour de France, route up to Alps d'Huez.

“Super apartment for perfect ski holiday”

Reviewed 12 Mar 2017

The apartment is super equipped, well decorated, very comfortable with lots of day light (corner apartment). Everything is well organised by the owner. The balcony has a very nice vue on the resort. We were 4 adults and 3 children. Overall we had a great holiday. It is located very centrally. You have all shops, bars and restaurants around 50m. The third room with the two single beds is suitable for children, but might be a little small for adults. Mark, the owner, is very helpful and very responsive. I would definitely recommend.

Owner's reply: Thank you for you're great review, and very glad you had good time. Do come again!!

“Superb location and best balcony view in Oz.”

Comfortable, very well equipped, ski-out/ski-in, just seconds from all you need - best pub/restaurant- Potee Oz, the Sherpa, ski hire-Cabane a Ski. Restaurant/pizzaria in same building. We now have bright lights in the locker room!! We love the fact that the kitchen cupboards are not cleared - to have salt, pepper, spices, tea, coffee etc is a real help when cooking in. Hope to be back next season. BG

“Wonderful apartment, great in summer too”

Reviewed 30 Jul 2013

We stayed here in July and had a fantastic time. The apartment is excellent - furnished to a very high standard, more spacious than we had imagined, and very well located for lifts, restaurants, the shop and boulangerie. Oz is a very good base for a summer holiday, with excellent walking and cycling on your doorstep. WIth no traffic in the village itself it is very quiet and friendly, and ideal for children. Would thoroughly recommend for a summer holiday and as skiiers ourselves can see it is also perfect for a winter break.

“Perfect place to stay for a family holiday in beautiful Oz”

Reviewed 23 Jul 2013

We couldn't have been happier with Les Myrtilles as a base for our first skiing holiday with our three young children and their granny. It is a very pleasant and spacious apartment with a fantastic south-facing balcony for relaxed sunny lunches at home. Situated right in the centre of the Village, you couldn't ask for a better location for the ski lifts, supermarket or ski school. The apartment is so well equipped, there was no need that wasn't met. The owner Mark has been accommodating and helpful to us in every way, before, during and since our stay. The best way I can describe how happy we were with this holiday is to tell you that we booked again for next year as soon as we got back. Thank you Mark.

“Perfectly Positioned”

Reviewed 23 Jul 2013

I admit, we were incredibly lucky with the freak end-of-season snow, plenty of sun and few people. But this tiny resort (Oz en Oisant) is a gem for families with learners, with adults who are keen to rest up rather than rave out. The apartment is well appointed with a good sized balcony (one of three), soft seating, kitchen and bathroom (with very soothing bubbles!). The apartment is ridiculously easy to get to and we skied back to the door every day with ski school bang next door. The lifts really are five minutes walk up the hill on one side and a short ski on the other. And once you're up the mountain you have a vast ski area to explore. The owners made sure we were thoroughly briefed on all things Oz and we found them utterly determined we would have a great holiday, which we did.

“This apartment gave you a feel good factor and the fab skiing was a bonus!”

This apartment is one to know about. It is in a brilliant position being adjacent to the ski school and a stone's throw from the lifts to the bigger ski area of Alpe d'Huez. So all that hassle of carrying skis any distance is taken away. In fact we (2 adults and 4 children) were very lucky as we could ski directly from the slopes to the flat's ski locker as the snow was so good. This I'm told is quite unusual. The apartment is fitted out brilliantly and we really enjoyed the extensive DVD collection in the evenings. During the day due to its convenient position we were able to come back for lunch and sit watching the world in glorious sunshine from the main balcony over looking Oz en Oisan. You can get to the patisserie next door in your slippers in the morning and in the evening we had take out pizzas from the restaurant downstairs. All perfect luxury - we have already booked for next year!

“Perfect location for ski school!”

Reviewed 20 Feb 2013

What an amazing holiday Les Myrtilles was for me, my husband and our 2 kids aged 9 & 5. We usually stay in hotels in Austria that are close to ski school to make those busy mornings easier. But we couldn't get any closer this year! The ski locker room was outside the ESF office, with just a 5 metre ski down to the meeting point. Then for us it was a ski down to the alpe d'huez gondola, or a 5 min walk up to the Vaujany gondola ( nice big green practice run up there that's very quiet) with a great red all the way back down to the back of the apartment. The skiing here is fantastic, loads of choice, all get you back to the apartment. We also spent ages sledging in the special area on the nursery slopes, or outside one of the bars near the gondola. Kids were in heaven! The flight to Grenoble and taxi transfer was without a hitch, the transfer was 320 euros return, a lot but it was just the 4 of us. Getting into the pedestrian only village in a lift was different, but again very close to the apartment. Wheelie bags for us next time though..... The apartment is brilliantly located. Well stocked with kitchen equipment (loads of crockery and cutlery). There are some condiments, which made cooking easy. There is a good, small supermarket, a lovely patisserie (gorgeous baguettes and tarts). We did have takeaway pizza twice, but mostly i cooked pasta and we stayed in watching movies from the extensive library, and a few kids ones we brought too. There was plenty of space for all our clothes, bags, snow boots, coats, salopettes etc. big dining table next to the huge window/balcony overlooking the village. The kids started the week in separate rooms, then went in together (after watching Jurassic park.....). Great upstairs rooms, yes they have sloped ceilings but they are just for sleeping, and the kids thought they were great! We also spent most nights in the whirlpool bath, which I particularly loved. There was loads of very hot water, and the apartment was nice and warm too when you got out. The village at night was very quiet, but I think we chose a quiet week, and it meant the slopes were perfect! One thing I did miss, the Austrian food and drink. But would I stay in this apartment again? Absolutely I would. It was like a home from home and the owners communication/information has been helpful and timely throughout. We would wholeheartedly recommend Les Myrtilles and the village of Oz en Oisans to all families with children or groups who don't want/need nightlife. Brilliant!

“Exceeded expectations”

Reviewed 11 Jan 2013

Our family stayed in the apartment during the Christmas week of 2012. The apartment and Oz village are superb. The apartment is on top floor (3rd) and offers a beautiful view, ski in and out facility and has sizeable ski lockers in basement. The amenities of the village do not necessitate using your car for grocery shopping or visiting restaurants. Our son enjoyed the father Christmas (with his support staff...) and (real) deer coming to visit on Christmas day. Village is very family orientated and there is easy access to the Alp d’Huez ski resort via one gondola. Also, the mini ski area (passed the ski lift) includes a magic carpet ski lift and mini slope which helped a lot to teach our little one to ski. The mini ski area requires NO ski pass.
