“Relaxing stay”

Reviewed 4 Sep 2016

The cottage has wonderful views from the sitting-room and terrace. A lovely spacious cottage that you can just relax in. Good walks from the door and easy access into Oxford using the P&R which is about 10 mins drive away. It could do with a visitor book so we could see what others have enjoyed such as good eateries and places to visit.. We would happily stay again.

“It has all we needed.”

We stayed there for 3 nights and were happy with everything we found. Instructions on check-in were given as soon as all payment was made. And all my enquires were answered quickly. It was a little surprising that the key would be left in the door for us, but that's not a problem. It's a very quiet place with nice views out of the window. The kitchen is well equipped and beds are comfortable. My little boy liked climbing on each and every settee. Racing on daddy's shoulder with the horse was one of his favourite games. From there, we went to Thame, Bicester and had a good time. We didn't like the road leading to the farm. The roads though Littleworth were hard work too, very narrow, bendy and hilly with parked cars on the sides. I would recommend this holiday rental as a base for exploring the countryside and cities nearby, a from home to home experience.

“Does exactly what it says on the tin”

Absolutely superb accommodation everything provided from washing up liquid, shampoo and hand wash to tea, coffee and sugar. Secluded and secure but still within easy reach of amenities. Would definitely recommend and would without a doubt return

“Absolutely Amazing Trip”

Reviewed 11 Jun 2013

We had a brilliant time here. My partner and I arrived to the stable lodge on a Saturday night and were greeted by the friendly owner who showed us round and made us feel very welcome. The stable itself was located in a peaceful atmosphere with the backdrop of horses strolling around in the 20 acres of land surrounding the barn. The barn inside was modern, spotless and very cosy. It had everything you needed from cooking utensils to bathroom essentials. It also had a dvd player, selection of channels on the TV and a log burner. The bedroom was also very comfortable. The next day we took a walk through the beautiful Shotover which is just minutes away from the stable. The owner also lended us two bikes and we were able to explore properly! We were told there was horse riding available to.. Something we wil definitely try next time we stay here! We then sat out on the decking and enjoyed the good weather. Even had a chance to see the stars later on that night. I would recommend this barn to anyone looking for an enjoyable, fun and exciting get away!

“Excellent accomodation”

Reviewed 13 Apr 2013

Stable Lodge is a beautiful place to stay. It is very tranquil but within easy reach of all amenities (five minutes drive from the motorway). The accommodation is all new and immaculate throughout and contemporary yet homely. There were all the mod cons you could want including a dvd player and a wonderful log burner. Biscuits on arrival were a nice touch and the owner was friendly and helpful giving us a chinese takeaway menu who delivered and it was excellent. It wasn't warm enough to sit outside but the deck looked out over the horses and fields. Our little dog was made welcome and there were loads of areas to walk him. I would definitely recommend Stable Lodge to family and friends and would stay there again.
