The cottage is set back about 200 feet from the road and offers a private and serene setting with trees along both sides of the property. Its log and stone exterior, knotty pine interior, and stone fireplace provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere. When you enter the cottage you will find an open living, dining and kitchen area. There are two large patio doors in the living area that provide excellent views of the bay and access to the 480 square foot rear deck. The open concept allows for easy conversation between those in the living room, dining room, or kitchen. The living room area features comfortable furniture to unwind in, a gas fireplace, 40” high definition satellite TV (250 stations), radio and DVD - a great spot for enjoying an evening movie with your family. The patio doors from the living area provide easy access to the elevated rear deck where you can take advantage of the view, relax with a good book, or enjoy a cup of tea and catch up with family members. At meal time the dining table is conveniently located next to the kitchen. The kitchen is clean, efficient and well equipped with dishes, cutlery, fridge/freezer, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, tea pot and toaster to satisfy your vacation meal needs. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms in the cottage. There are queen beds in two of the bedrooms each with patio doors opening onto the rear deck. You can start each day with lovely Georgian Bay views. In the third bedroom there is one single bed and a set of bunkbeds and in the fourth bedroom there are two single beds and one set of bunkbeds. One of the two bathrooms is a 3 piece (sink, toilet, tub) and the other bathroom is a 3 piece (sink, toilet, shower). There is also a washer and dryer for your laundry needs during your stay. Outside the cottage on the rear deck there is a lounger for relaxing, and a patio table, umbrella, chairs and propane BBQ for your outdoor grilling. The deck is perfect for taking advantage of the view, catching some sun, relaxing with your book and/or favourite summer beverage. After you have grilled your favourite vacation meal on the BBQ, you can sit down to enjoy a family outdoor dinner while overlooking beautiful Georgian Bay. The large rear lawn is a great place for kids to play. Be sure to bring your outdoor yard games. It's just a short stroll to the water. Take the steps down through the hillside garden to the shore. There is 108 feet of private waterfront, a large cement entry ramp into the water and a 20 foot dock. There are stones along the shore but the cement entry ramp provides a gradual walk-in access to the water. The elevated shore is ideal for taking in a great panoramic view of the aqua blue bay water and beautiful evening sunsets. There is also a fire pit at the shore where you can enjoy evening campfires, roasting marshmallows, taking in the starry night sky and sharing stories with friends and family. If you want to get out and explore the area, you can stroll along the quiet cottage road. The cottage is about a 10 minute drive from the historic Leith Church, which is the burial place of the renowned local Group of Seven painter, Tom Thomson. It’s about a 20-minute drive to downtown Owen Sound with its shops, fine dining, art gallery (Tom Thomson Art Gallery), live theater, movie theaters, festivals, museums (Grey Roots and Marine and Rail), beach and Saturday morning (summer months) farmers market. You can enjoy cycling the local roads, tour the smaller area hamlets, take in the Tuesday Keady Market, hike the Bruce Trail, golf at any of the local golf courses, visit a winery, spend the day at Sauble Beach or a local conservation area.

Additional amenities include: dock/boat-slip, coffee maker, tea pot, mop, umbrella, pillows, dishes, curtains, pots and pans, broom, fire pit, cutlery, cleansers, vacuum, table, blankets, clothes drying rack, refrigerator freezer.
