From the owner

The Cottage at The Dene is very private and provides a chic holiday home with a country feel. Set in 4 acres, guests are welcome to use the brand new tennis court. We have also arranged for guests to have complimentary membership of the famous Goodwood Healthclub and Spa during their stay (Two guests).

The cottage has just undergone a major renovation and now has a vaulted living area giving a light and spacious feel. The large smart TV gives the perfect excuse for a cosy evening in; wi-fi is complimentary. The kitchen is fully equipped with a full-sized hob, fan oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, and coffee machine. The small vitals such as an iron and hairdryer are provided.

The bedroom has a king-sized bed with a top-of-the-range Hypnos mattress to ensure a good nights sleep. The 32" smart TV provides the perfect excuse for a lazy lie in. We can provide a cot and highchair for our very young guests if needed.

The Dene and The Cottage sit in four acres of grounds which guests are welcome to enjoy. The cottage has its own patio, and barbecue facilties are supplied. Leisure time may be spent on the tennis court, or guests may choose to use the excellent facilities at Goodwood, including the pool, state-of-the-art gym, spa, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Your complimentary membership also affords access to the studio and fitness classes. Included is membership of The Kennels, the private members fine dining club on the Goodwood Estate - the perfect setting for a special meal, or to just pop in for afternoon tea.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If David (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
