The Villa: is built on three floors. High ceilings and good insulation provide a cool atmosphere, supported by air-con units. The ground floor, veranda and pool are all on the same level, and steps lead to the front door. The open plan living area on the ground floor is divided into sitting and dining areas. The huge covered veranda provides an outdoor room for everyone. Two tables seat up to 12. The barbecue is integral, with its own chimney. The veranda has a marble floor and the area around the pool is non-slip travertine stone. The kitchen is well equipped. The first floor has three principle bedrooms, all with superb king size beds and air con, a separate bathroom and one en suite. The second floor has two further bedrooms, one with air con, and a bathroom.

Outside the villa: There's a stone wall going right around the plot enclosing the villa and garden, which is planted with bougainvillea and hibiscus, fig and lemon trees, looked after by the gardener Bayram who also maintains the pool.

Pricing Policy: We have a 'John Lewis' pricing policy. I will match the rates for a directly comparable holiday home advertised on holidaylettings - just forward the competitive quote. Payment is through the holidaylettings website.

Avoid rental scams: I am happy to give you contact details of people who have recently stayed and other information you might need, as I want you to be 100% confident of your holiday in Turkey!

Transfers from Dalaman Airport to villa can be arranged by our managers. Villa rental includes electricity and water bills, plus gardener - pool maintenance. Cooking gas is bottled, which may need replacement (approx £15).

The Sunday Times says "It's hard not to love Olu Deniz - the bone-white spit and turquoise lagoon is a Turkish holiday icon... Best way to visit? Stay on Perdikia Hill, a hillside in the pine forests nearby, and take the bus down to Oludeniz." Perdikia is just 300 metres from our villa. The holiday village of Hisaranou is on the way to Olu Deniz. It has the best night life in the whole area, is safe and friendly, and about a 20 minute walk from the villa.

Location description from owner

The Turkish Aegean Coast region

From ancient ports to stunning beaches, this region is perfect for exploring the ancient wonders and natural beauty of Turkey. Some of the more spectacular sights include:

Oludeniz: This spectacular beach is one of the most photographed in Turkey, has clear waters, and is a protected site of outstanding natural beauty. We've never found it crowded, even in the height of the season. The facilities, be it the beach, the woods, restaurants, or whatever, are just far larger than the number of people using them. So you walk into any restaurant and there's a table, go for car hire, and one is waiting, decide to go for a day's boat trip (£10 which includes lunch), and you'll often find the boat half full.

Tlos: 30 Km south of Fethiye is the oldest city in the Lycian region. Home to the Lycian hero Bellerophon this area is rich with history, visitors can enjoy: the remains of a castle, the agora, the necropolis, the theatre, Roman baths and a good view of Esen Valley.

Xanthos: Xanthos is the ancient capital city of Lycia. This spectacular site is bursting with ancient history and mythology, attractions include: The ancient theatre, Tomb of the Harpies, Nereid Monument, among a mixture of ruins from Lycian, Roman and Byzantine times.

"Turkey houses more Roman sites than Italy and more Greek ruins than Greece"

The village of Ovacik is dominated by the 6,000ft mountain of Babadag. The mountains are criss-crossed with paths and dirt roads, and make lovely walking. Motor bikes, jeeps and quads can be hired, but again, you won't see many others out.

Ovacik

Ovacik and Hisaronu are popular with British Holiday makers. People are friendly and have a good grasp of English. Hisaronu has many lively shops bars and restaurants to enjoy but they will not disturb you in the villa. Why not take a trip to the deserted ancient village of Kayakoy, or any of the stunning bays and coves nearby.

The area has many skilled craftsmen, especially jewellers and leather workers, also of course carpets and textiles. You can get old jewellery re-made, the stones re-set, all on the premises, or made to measure leather coats and jackets, to your design, at a fraction of the UK cost.

A new Water Park is within walking distance, there are bikes in the villa for visitors' use, horse riding and micro lights are close. Most activity providers will collect from close to the villa.

The nearby town of Fethiye is very popular due to its outstanding beauty and busy marina. There are numerous high quality restaurants and bars run by friendly locals - £5-8 gets you a fresh bass or bream at a table on the water's edge. Presiding over Fethiye is an ancient fortress built by the knights of Rhodes. Carved into the surrounding cliff faces, by Lycians, are spectacular rock tombs.

This area has so much to see and do. You can paraglide in Oludeniz or take a boat trip, take a jeep safari (rent from our villa managers at favourable rates) or visit any of the numerous ancient ruins.

Fethiye is a bustling market town, with a famous bazaar every Tuesday. It's a good place to buy Turkish carpets. The harbour has many boats, and it's easy to hire one for the day to take you to the many islands close by. Fethiye has a Roman amphitheatre, fascinating rock tombs and plenty of history. It's a good centre for most things, with friendly and helpful people. There's a substantial English community, which means you'll find an English speaking doctor, dentist (they're said to be very good), and English spoken in the hospital.

“Superb”

Reviewed 18 Aug 2016

We stayed at the villa for 10 days. Five adults, teenager and a three and five your old. The villa was lovely and in a quiet spot but not far from the main centre. Fantastic facilities within the villa with very comfortable, air conditioned rooms and bedrooms. Excellent pool and little kiddies pool too. There's a covered terrace to have outside dining and also a great, barbecue area. There's a couple of lovely bar/restaurants at the bottom of the road with a shop to stock up on essentials. Many thanks to Mike (owner), Rebecca (manager) and her husband Gem. You made us feel very welcome and we were so relaxed. Would definitely recommend and we'd love to go back.

Very pleased to hear your holiday in Villa Pembroke was so successful and you'd be very welcome again! Mike

“Best holiday ever!!”

Reviewed 11 Aug 2016

We're just home having spent 11 nights at Villa Pembroke and would struggle to find any negatives about our stay. The villa is beautiful, perfectly cool inside and areas for sunbathing and shade outside. The pool was glorious and the views breathtaking. It really did feel like "home" and not like a hotel at all, in fact Villa Pembroke has spoiled us for hotels now. Rebecca, who looks after the property was friendly, helpful and knowledgable as was her husband Gem who provided us with transport to explore the area. We had the best holiday ever and really hope to go back.

And thank you for being such good guests! It sounds as if you really made the most of your holiday and of course it is wonderful to read your review.

“A Fantastic holiday in a great villa.”

Reviewed 6 Jul 2016

This villa was as advertised, plenty of space in a lovely quiet and secluded location. The pool was large and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the steps of the pool enjoying the sun and a glass of wine. Approx 20 mins walk to Hisonaru but buses run frequently and are very cheap ..There are plenty of restaurants near the villa and also a small shop for bread etc. We would definately use this villa again.

Many thanks for your comments, which I will share with all the people who are involved in looking after and managing Villa Pembroke and it's guests.

“Great villa in perfect location would highly recommend”

Reviewed 6 Jul 2015

We really enjoyed our holiday at Villa Pembroke and would highly recommend to anyone thinking of staying in ovacik. We have stayed in ovacik a few times before and find it perfect as it's away from the noise in Hisaronu but just a 5 minute dolmus ride away. There is so much to do in this area and we did plenty of things but didn't get everything done so will definitley be back! The villa has everything you could need and is in a lovely quiet area. The pool is fantastic and is well looked after every day and a lovely shady terrace for when the sun is too hot! There were 8 of us and there was plenty of room for us all. Mike is very helpful with the booking process and Rebecca the manager is always on hand and even came to meet us at the villa when we arrived late at night and also came to see us off when we left. We are all hoping to book for next year!

Good to hear about your holiday, and we look forward to seeing you again

“Smart, spacious villa with good sized pool and convenient location”

Reviewed 19 Nov 2013

Our group of 11, 6 adults and 5 children with an age range of 72 - 7 years, all stayed in this smart, spacious villa for 12 days. The children enjoyed the 5 bedded attic rooms and the adults all had first floor rooms with balcony and the villa never felt overcrowded. Facilities were good and we all spent a lot of time in and around the good-sized pool. The villa was a 25 minute walk from the resort of Hisaronu but there were convenient local bars, restaurants and small corner shops for essentials. October was a wonderful time to visit SW Turkey, with temperatures in the high twenties during the day but cooler at night and no mosquitoes! We all took part in a Turkish bath, boat trip, Jeep safari and mud bath - great fun all round. Great villa, great location, great holiday.

Many thanks for the great review for October, which is a period often overlooked by visitors. I am so pleased the holiday was a success and you found the villa comfortable and that the arrangements worked well.

“Lovely villa, ideal location, good restaurants, shops and water park, all within easy walking distance”

Reviewed 30 Jul 2013

Have just returned from our first visit to Turkey - a beautiful place with very friendly people. The villa was ideal for our needs, and the owners (Mike & Margaret) couldn't have been any more helpful, from the date of initial booking, through to our return home. In addition, the on-site management team of Rebecca and her husband Cem, were always available with help and advice when needed. Our party consisted of 7 adults and 2 teenagers, and whilst there we went on several trips - the Turkish Bath & 12 Island Boat Trip are both highly recommended, whereas the Jeep Safari was a bit too wet to be an enjoyable day for everyone (saying that, my 15 year old daughter loved it!). My Son and I also went paragliding - although I was initially nervous (moreso when I saw how high up the mountain the take-off area was), it was a brilliant experience. My Brother-In-Law took a flight in a micro-light and thoroughly enjoyed it. Not far from the Water Park is a restaurant called the Teras Bar (about 10 minutes walk away), we went there several times, and always found the the food excellent and staff very friendly. Overall, we had a great time, and will definitely be going back.

Many thanks for your kind review.

“Beautiful Viila in beautiful location”

Reviewed 30 Sep 2011

All the party was impressed on arrival at the villa, even the kids were amazed and excited when we pulled up outside, and then they saw the pool and wanted to get straight in, which they did. The villa was well equipped with everything you could need and very comfortable and well furnished. Air con in all rooms except the very top bedroom( 2nd floor directly under the roof) where the baby cot is, although it has a free standing fan in this room it didn't help much in the summer heat. We had a herd of goats living in the field behind the villa, which the kids loved watching them being turned out in morning and rounded up in the evening by goat herders. There was even three resident tortoises living in the villa grounds and the kids had a great time trying to feed them. The owner Michael was very helpful from first point of contact and did everything possible to help us with the booking, transfers and even offered tips on what to do while there as it was our first trip to Turkey, everything went smoothly. We all had a fantastic time, there was 12 of us in all ranging from 67 to a set of 2 year old twins. The local monday market is well worth a visit at Hisarono about half hour walk from villa, or 5 minute taxi ride, then a short walk from market brings you to Hisarono main strip where you are spoilt for choice for places to eat and shop some more if you have the energy. The boat trips are lovely and so cheap, you can be out all day on a boat for around £8.00 including lunch, we loved the mud bath/turtle excursion it was by far the best day out. A lot of our time we spent around the pool, because it was so lovely and we found it hard to drag ourselves away. A good tip is to take English stirling for shops and markets, they seem to favour this and the euro over the lire, and much better discounts are given. We also found we could have got a much better exchange rate over there then we did at home. We tried various restaurants in olu deniz and Hisarono, all were very nice, food good and staff friendly. We found Hisarono to be much more livlier and have more in way of shops and restaurants than Olu Deniz , but Olu Deniz has a very pretty beach area. Beware none of the restaurant highchairs have baby straps ( either missing or broken), so take your own. There are a couple of restaurants 2 minutes from villa, but we found these better for breakfast and lunch rather then dinner. In between these two restaurants there is a small supermarket stocking all the essentials, they will deliver straight to your door if you ask, and the owner operates a mini bus and excursion business, we used him and his mini bus for trips into olu deniz, takes about 10 minutes for 22 lire for all 12 of us and 2 pushchairs. There is also a Pizza Express take away directly oppisite villa ( you can see it from pool deck), they do deliver, a godsend if you have arrived very late and need a quick bite to eat. Must mention the pine tree honey I discovered while there, never tasted any honey as good as this in my life, the honey jar filled with all sorts of nuts is also very nice, best prices for these are at local supermarket Azda in Hisarono, its three times the price at airport for half the jar size. Turkish delight, you are best to select and pack your own from shops and stalls, the pre packed ones hardly have anything in the box. Really had a fantastic time, so pretty everywhere you go, beautiful scenery, colourful flowers and friendly locals, can't wait to go back again, met all my expectations and more.

Thank you for your review. I'm very glad all enjoyed their stay and from what I've been reading there has been plenty of great experiences for all. I do hope you decide to come back some day.
