The Turkish Aegean Coast region

Turkey's Mediterranean shore, called the Turquoise Coast, is nearly 1600 km (994 miles) long, scattered with fine-sand beaches and sprinkled abundantly with classical cities turned to picturesque ruins.

The weather in this area is generally regarded as being some of the best in Turkey. The summer season is long and daytime temperatures can rise above 32 degrees Celsius. The winters are mild and not too cold.

Ovacik is located between Olundeniz and Fethiye spread out along a spectacularly beautiful valley below Babadag mountain.

Built on the ruins of an ancient city, Fethiye has age-old stone sarcophagi in its streets and gardens, rock-hewn tombs in a cliff above the town, an active yacht harbor, a vast bay dotted with islands, a vibrant market and all tourist services. Over the mountains south of Fethiye and four kilometres from Ovacik , this is perhaps Turkey's most beautiful beach, and also its most popular.

Ovacik

Ovacik is a quiet and rural area with splendid views of the surrounding pine clad mountains. Life here is peaceful, calm and traditional. The air is usually cooler and fresher than at sea level, which can be very welcome at the height of the summer.

It is a very beautiful village popular with families and people who like private accommodation whilst retaining access to many varied local amenities. A short stroll presents a range of restaurants and traditional tavernas serving cuisines to cater for all tastes.

Ovacik is close to the popular beach at Olu-Deniz with it's famous fresh water lagoon. The four kilometre journey will take no more than 20 minutes by dolmus bus. There are many varied attractions which will appeal to all tastes. These can all be booked locally at any of the many outlets along the village streets. Some of the most popular include:

• A day trip across the water to the Greek island of Rhodes

• Tandem paragliding from the 6000 feet high summit of Babadag down to the beach below

• Jeep safari through some breathtakingly beautiful and contrasting countryside

• Being pampered in a Turkish bath or a mud bath at Dalyan

• A trip to Turtle beach

• Quad biking through the local countryside and ancient haunting Greek village of Kaya

• A fun filled day at the aquapark

• Sightseeing from the air via a microlight.

For those that want a more active night life, the nearby town of Hisaronu provides this with it's crowded bars, bustling restaurants and dance clubs.

“Beautiful villa, large private pool. Lots to see and do!”

Reviewed 6 Sep 2015

We stayed here with our two children and my husband's parents. We were met at the airport with arranged transfers and took to the villa. On arrival we we impressed with how big the villa was, every room having it's own large bathroom. The pool was maintained daily and the water quality in the pool was brilliant. We loved the fact that the bars and restaurants of all variety were literally at the end of the road. The frequent, cheap turkish minibuses meant there was no need to hire a car. Great place coupled with friendly locals means a must for a return holiday. Thank you Andy and Sue.

“Fantastic Villa, in a great location for everything you need.”

Reviewed 3 Aug 2015

Had a fab time staying in this villa, we had 8 of us in total with more than enough room for all. Loved spending lazy days by the large private pool. The villa is in a fantastic location in Ovacik close to everything you need, supermarkets, restaurants and a taxi rank across the road. The buses come by every 5-10 minutes. Hisarau is about a 15 minute walk away and Olu Deniz is 10 minute by bus. Would highly recommend this villa and Sue and Andy are lovely and brilliant to deal with.

“Absolutely amazing villa, excellent pool and facilities, we all loved it!”

Reviewed 2 Jun 2015

This was our first visit to Turkey and the villa gave us everything we could have wished for with a young family. We have 2 boys aged 6 and 3 who loved the pool to bits. The local restaurants were excellent value for money, we particularly enjoyed the 'Angora' and 'King Arms' and the 'Little Kebab House' did a great chicken kebab for a quick takeaway lunch by the pool. There are plenty of shops close by in Hisaronu which is a short stroll away and we had some great day trips out to Oludeniz and Fethiye, where we saw a giant turtle in the harbour! Buses and taxis run frequently from the end of the road. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and can't recommend the villa highly enough, we can't wait to return!

“Spacious and in a great location”

Reviewed 9 Sep 2014

We travelled as a family of grandparents, parent and 3 small children and the children just loved the pool which was maintained every morning to a high standard, we also made use of the BBQ. The villa is situated just off the main road and is very private an absolutely ideal location. Also the villa contained everything you could wish for to make your stay very comfortable. A 24 hour Co-op shop across the road who were happy to deliver your shopping along with the beer and water . The children enjoyed feeding 'Billy Goat' in the field along side of us. The New kebab restaurant at the end of the drive was delicious for those nights we just chilled on the balcony and the children also enjoyed feeding the resident African grey parrot. We had a super time at this Villa and hope to return again soon. Thank you to Sue and Andy who kept in touch with us before, during and after our return.

“This villa is really clean and in an excellent location for both the busier and quiter parts of town.”

Reviewed 25 Aug 2014

The property was exactly as the write up on the website described it and we received excellent service from the owners (prior to leaving) and the management company whilst on holiday. Shops (for everyday needs) and restaurants are all close by and it is located just right for evenings out in both the quitter and busier parts of town. The pool is kept spotlessly clean and the villa itself is also very clean. A family of 8 (with wide ranging ages) can stay here very comfortably indeed.

“Fantastic Villa”

Reviewed 2 Aug 2014

The villa is in walking distance of lots of bars, restaurants and a 24 hour supermarket, it's very spacious clean and each bedroom has its own en-suite which was very handy with a large family. The pool and sounding area was very peaceful for sunbathing and cleaned on a daily basis, the bonus was I didn't have to get up at 6am to put a towel on a bed for the day. I would recommend this Villa to any group or family for a fantastic holiday although you are very close to all amenities it is very peaceful and private.

“Fantastic Villa and great pool we all had a fabulous time”

Reviewed 2 Sep 2013

We took both our children of 8 & 3 and our parents and all of which had a fabulous time in the villa. The villa is stunning and very well maintained with everything you could ever need for a great holiday. The bedrooms are a very good size with dressing areas and showers or in the main bedroom a bath so something for everyone. The views from the balconies of the mountains are beautiful. The pool is superb and we spent many hours a day in the pool which is very highly maintained so the water is crystal clear every day. There is everything you could ever need all within walking distance from supermarkets to bars or restaurants so if you don't want to travel far its all just a walk away. We booked the transfers with their guy (Brian) and this was also spot on as when we got to the airport the guy was there waiting for us and also on our return again he was bang on time. We even had a courtesy call from Andy & Sue the day before we flew out just to make sure we had everything we needed and to give us the heads up. In short and great place which we would recommend to anyone and Andy & Sue are a pleasure to deal with and always at then of the phone or e-mail if you require any assistance or information.

“Lovely holiday”

Reviewed 18 Jun 2013

The property is beautiful with all amenities expected in self catering. The pool was a good size and perfect for children. Ours enjoyed their time in the pool thoroughly. we had some issues with one of the toilet which were immediately resolved. So great service from the owner and the management company. We had asked for an airport pick and drop as we were a group of 9 with 3 kids. It was on time both for our arrival and departure. The location was absolutely convenient. the dolmus stop right in front of the villa, a 24 hour convenience store a minutes walk and a choice of restaurants right on the road outside the villa. all these restaurants had free wifi so connectivity with the world was also not an issue :)

“Fabulous villa”

Reviewed 9 Sep 2012

Just returned from our second visit to this lovely villa. Everything was as expected. The children spent most of their time in the pool and the adults relaxed on the sun beds. Located in a lovely quiet spot but with plenty of good restaurants and bars close by. There is a great supermarket next door which stocks just about everything you could need. We had some fabulous BBQ,s on an evening. I would recommend this villa to any age group, it,s gorgeous.

“Lovely villa in an excellent location”

Reviewed 12 Aug 2012

We stayed there for two weeks with our extended family (ages 16 - 70) and everyone in the party thought the villa was perfect. Its in a good location just set back off the main oludeniz road, which is lined with good restaurants and handy shops stocking most of your needs. Every part of the villa is well maintained ( the private pool area is cleaned twice a day) and is smart and modern, with comfortable beds and furniture. There are dolmus and taxis if you need them just outside but the pool and patio area are fairly secluded from the road as it sits behind another villa. If you want the nightlife of Hisaronu , its about a 15 -20 minute stroll away, though there are many good restaurants and bars around the villa.
