Our cottage is furnished to an extremely high standard of comfort and style, with high quality beds, kitchens and bathrooms as standard.

The cottage has a wood burning stove*, HD ready TV (incl. all Freeview channels), DVD player and HiFi set. Wireless broadband internet (WiFi) is available, free of charge.

Some cottages are equipped with a dishwasher, and some of the cottages have under-floor heating at ground level.

Most parts of East Devon is acknowledged as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and also includes a major stretch of the World Heritage Coast (the Jurassic Coast) as classified by Unesco.

The District offers everything that makes the South West of England a holiday destination of choice for so many, yet because of its proximity to the A30 and M5, railway stations in Exeter and Honiton and the airport in Exeter, access to East Devon and Ottery St. Mary is very good.

East Devon is bordered by Dorset on the East, Somerset and Mid Devon on the North, and South Devon on the West. Well-known tourist 'hot spots' in East Devon include Sidmouth, Branscombe, Beer, Budleigh Salterton, Exmouth and Topsham.

The Ottery St Mary / East Hill area

Ottery St. Mary

Ottery St. Mary is a small town, situated on the river Otter, in East Devon, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Cushioned in between West Hill and East Hill (where you find Mazzard Farm), Ottery is a friendly place, offering a remarkable number of shops in relation to its size, most of whom locally owned (and many also locally sourced!).

Towering over the town is the Parish Church of St. Mary. A beautiful Gothic building, and modeled on Exeter Cathedral.
