Newly converted gig house with extensive views over the Shropshire plains during the day and of wide starry skies at night. Situated just a few miles outside the market town of Oswestry where you will find everything you need. Chester, Llangollen and Shrewsbury are also within reach.

The property is very close to Offa's Dyke and offers footpaths over beautiful border countryside.

Underfloor heating and a cosy woodburner make this a lovely getaway any time of year. Electricity and fuel for the fire are included.

The property is set within the owner's grounds and offers the opportunity to use an established painting studio if you wish.

When we look for a holiday cottage, whatever country we chose, one of the main conditions for selecting our stay, is the view. Well, the Gig House has a view which cannot be described in a few words - it is grand! But more than this: there is a perfect quietness - apart from songbird or a few sheep - silence - this is perfect for us! Even though the cottage is quite remote, it is close to the village which makes shopping easy. The cottage itself is So Beautiful - we felt at home immediately - everything was teken care of. Thank you so much!

Why can't I call Jennifer (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Jennifer (the owner) a message.

If Jennifer (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
