Description

Brand New for 2016 converted Victorian church

Contemporary, classy and very very comfortable.

The Church house is a charming newly converted Victorian church situated in a peaceful setting in the friendly town of Oswestry. One of Britain’s oldest settlements, dating back 3000 years ago.

For lovers of history, lively café culture, the town has growing reputation for its interesting mix of small, locally run shops that pride themselves on good old-fashioned service. Vibrant market days would not look too different if visited today by Oswestry’s most famous son, soldier and poet Wilfred Owen.

On the borders of Wales - only 5 minutes up the road, the town has also easy access to Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham,, only one hour away. Also, Shrewsbury ( just voted in the top 10 "best place to live in the uk" ) and Chester, are only 30 minutes away.

The three-bedroom property retains many beautiful features with vaulted ceiling and rustic oak beams. The contemporary decor in the lounge offers a cosy place to sit and enjoy the spectacular country views, with costume made arched windows and open plan stunning kitchen. The home also features under-floor heating, stone bath, Egyptian Cotton Bedding. The property sits on a generous plot with pretty gardens and plenty of parking

Come and enjoy both English and Welsh heritage in this very special home.

“Amazing Place to Stay”

Reviewed 13 Jul 2018

This place was just amazing! Stayed here with the girls and was a perfect place for a birthday celebration. Done out to a high standard with comfy beds, modern decor and full of quirky bits and bobs to keep you entertained. Location was perfect, walking distance from the towns bars and restaurants and right next to a lovely park. We didn't want to leave! I will definitely be staying there again!

Was an amazing place to stay, from the outside it's a lovely village church, then you walk inside to a modern contemporary spacious area full of lots of different pieces of decor that add a quirky charm, you don't know where to look first it works really well as it's a beautiful designed space. Comfy beds, lovely bathrooms and close to the town centre so easy walk to resturants and bars. What more could you want from a holiday home.

“We love this place, our third stay!”

Reviewed 22 Apr 2018

We found this place and always stay here if we are in the area. It’s beside the towns’ park which is a delight. 5 minutes walk from everywhere, pubs, independent shops, restaurants, walks, you name it. An hour from Liverpool, Manchester and Birmingham, we love the place. The beds are the best we have ever slept in. Always the tea, coffee, virgin olive oil, balsamic, the basic stuff are there and cooking for 10 people is easy in the kitchen, plenty of everything! See you soon

“Amazing is an understatement !”

Reviewed 14 Dec 2017

Wow just got back from our stay and I can’t recommend highly enough. Every little detail adds to the magic of this place, the church is breathtaking and we felt spoilt by its beauty. There is absolutely nothing missing, 8 of us were very comfortable, beds are so luxurious and the finish to the house is extremely high end. 5 stars are not enough. Thank you.

Owner's reply: Hey very kind of you. We do try and make the place special and it is holiday home. Please come again Thanks Simon

“Stunning home to host family reunion”

Reviewed 14 Nov 2017

All the rooms are huge but the main living space is immense and we hosted another great party to meet up with our family from the nearby area. The location of The Church is fabulous, backing onto a park and very peaceful and yet you are only a few steps from the town centre and lots of pubs!!

“Amazing accommoddationn and an excellent service”

Reviewed 15 Aug 2017

What an amazing converted church, so quirky and modern, with everything one needs for a comfortable stay. We booked here to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday Well what can I say about the private concierge service! Wow: Shelley was amazing and decorated the church with banners, balloons, sprinkles and even went out of her way to have some flowers and chocs ready for my wife's arrival !!! Thanku so much Shelley....I certainly won some brownie points for that The location of this fabulous church is perfect, 2min walk to town for top-up supplies. Lots of supermarkets within walking distance. Snowdon is only 1hr 30mins away for a nice day trip out. We had some great party nights using the disco lights. The home decor is amazing, quality and quirky. We would definitely stay again for a special occasion.

Owner's reply: Hey thanks, we are so glad you and your wife enjoyed it
