Description

Brand new cabin, completed in December 2013. Located about 600 meters above sea level with spectacular west facing views and very good solar conditions. The cabin is secluded, with very limited visibility. No cabins below, on the front porch, one is 'all alone'. The cottage has excellent opportunities for hiking in summer and winter. A number of cross-country ski trails start about 100 meters from the cabin, and there are several small lakes nearby. Hutjern, about 1.2 km from the cabin, is equipped with rowboats that you can borrow, and a cozy shelter and campfire site. Tjuvåskampen at 812 meters above sea level is the highest mountain in the vicinity, where you have wonderful views of the entire eastern Norway. A trip up here takes about 30-60 minutes, depending on the pace. In the summer months there are sheep and heifers walking freely around the cabin, giving a cozy touch. The cabin has a high standard, with floor heating in every room. In the summer months there are sheep and heifers walking freely around the cabin, giving a cozy touch. The cabin has a high standard, with floor heating in every room. The heat can be turned on prior to arrival at the cabin, so that one does not come to an ice cold cabin. The bathroom is tiled and has a shower niche. It is common 230V electricity and tap-water from our own well. The power is produced during the winter months by a separate diesel generator, which is located in a soundproofed annex south of the cabin. Everything is fully automated, in the winter, the power generator starts for about 1.5 hours every 24 hours. This is not perceived as annoying. There is 'unlimited' hot water as it is heated directly in the central heating. There is a wood-fired outdoor hot tub with room for four to five peopleIt is open plan between living room and kitchen. Large kitchen table with the possibility to extract and make room for 10 people.Large sofas in the living room, so there is plenty of room for everyone in the cabin.Fireplace.Narrow staircase up to the loft from the living room. There are three bedrooms. In the loft, there are two mattresses. Here it is perfect for the kids to play. For special requests about the rent time, please get in touch. It is possible to select other periods than outlined in the price-list.
