The Stable is one of 4 delightful country cottages at MARTIN LANE FARM situated in the heart of rural Lancashire yet just 5 miles from the seaside.

This 5 star cottage is all ground floor and fully accessible, with open-plan lounge and kitchen, two bedrooms, one with en suite wet room specifically designed for the disabled guest and there is also a family bathroom. It is spacious, comfortable and warm. The lounge has wall mounted, flat screen TV and comfortable seating. Both bedrooms also have a wall mounted tv and dvd player. The beds are all 'zip and link' so both bedrooms can be presented as king sized or twin rooms as required.

The farm is on a quiet country lane where you can 'get away from it all', relax and unwind and take life at a slower pace.The fairly flat landscape makes this area a walkers and cyclists paradise. However, if you prefer activity holidays we are only 5 miles from Southport with everything this popular seaside resort has to offer. The area has an abundance of golf courses to suit every ability including the famous Royal Birkdale.

Ormskirk

Martin Lane farm is situated in the heart of the rich arable farmland of rural West Lancashire. Close to the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust at Martin Mere, and also the RSPB's reserve at Marshside, this area is a favourite with nature lovers and is ideal walking and cycling countryside.

Within a 5 mile radius there is the Victorian seaside resort of Southport, the pretty village of Burscough and the bustling market town of Ormskirk.

Southport annually hosts the Flower Show, Air Show and International firework competition while Ormskirk is the venue for the Motofest each year.

More than a dozen golf courses locally including the famous Royal Birkdale. Also locally is Aintree Racecourse home of the Grand National and Liverpool and Everton Football grounds.
