“A great vacation in fantastic setting”

Reviewed 7 Jul 2016

We were a party of seven who stayed at this villa for a week in mid June 2016. It had everyting we could ask for and more. Indoor, we enjoyed the big dining room table when we wanted to dine inside, and outside, we could dine on the terrace and by the pool. The pool setting is gorgeous with a view to Antibes and the Mediterranean. The neighboorhood is very quiet and peaceful. We loved the tv room with the flat screen tv where we could all watch football. The hosts are friendly and hospitable and made sure everything was in order. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definately consider coming back.

“Comfortable villa - beautiful scenery”

Reviewed 26 Sep 2015

I decided to write a review about Villa Lorraine because we found reviews helpful when we were looking for a villa for our family holiday. Photos give an idea but they never tell the whole story. Villa Lorraine had everything we were looking for and upon arrival we realized it had more than we had anticipated! The view all the way to the Mediterranean Sea was magnificent and the peace and quiet of the area was something we were looking for. There were 10 of us travelling together, my husband and I, our 4 children, son-in-law and daughter-in-law + 2 grandchildren, age 1 and 2. The layout of the villa, set on 3 levels, is ideal for people who want to enjoy their time together yet have some privacy and space of their own. As the Villa Lorraine is situated quite high up we benefited from the light breeze - great in the hot weather. Our early morning walk down to the boulangerie was enjoyable but a bit challenging going back up the hill. We enjoyed all the different eating and seating araes of the villa, the swimming pool was great, large enough to enjoy a swim as well as just to cool down. It made a difference having the children's playground and the ping pong table when you have a large group of people with different interests. Many thanks to our hosts, Lynda and Chris for their hospitality and their friendly yet professional way of running their business. Their personal touch, responding quickly to every e-mail and speaking on the phone before any commitments were made gave us peace of mind when we were planning and dreaming of our holiday during our long Icelandic winter. Gradually we had built up high expectations which were all met! Last but not least I would like to share a brilliant idea. Through Lynda I contacted Lori Mazziotta-Gardet who along with her team prepared and served us a delicious meal our first evening at the villa. What a treat not having to go out and shop or take the children to a restaurant, tired after the journey. We do recommend this very affordable solution. It was an enjoyable start to a fantastic holiday at the Villa Lorraine. Asta and Ulfur from Iceland Stay: July 4-18, 2015

“Beautiful quiet villa in the French Countryside, yet within close driving distance to the buzz of the Cote D'azur”

Reviewed 13 Aug 2013

My husband and I stayed here for 2 weeks in early June with our one year old son, accompanied by our friends who brought their 8 month old daughter and 3 year old son. The layout of the villa was perfect in that one family were upstairs and the other family were a good distance away at ground floor - thus allowing some privacy and quiet time. there was plenty of space throughout the villa and the villa was fully equipped with everything. there is no air-conditioning in the villa but i would imagine that it is not required given the altitude of the villa and the cool breezes in the evening. Outside the terrace area and pool were fantastic, with plenty of space to enjoy an evening meal at the large tables. the bbq itself was used every day by us! the only disappointment i had with the villa is that whilst it is advertised as child friendly (which it certainly is inside the villa), outside there is a high wall/drop (7 foot approx) from the terrace down to the pool which is not fenced off. This meant that all 3 young children had to be very very closely supervised whenever we were outside on the terrace eating/reading/chatting to avoid a serious accident. Sometimes it was just easier to just stay inside with them. Down at pool level the pool is gated off however. Other than that we really enjoyed ourselves and found the hosts extremely accomodating with departure times etc - they even offered to get us a babysitter one night.
