Description

If you want to experience charms of a holiday, we are inviting you to visit our authentic stone house with a big new pool in the front, in the village of Podašpilje, raised on highlands of the left side of the picturesque Cetina canyon, only 7 km from the Adriatic sea.
This typical behind-a-mountain Dalmatian village is only ten minute's ride far from Omiš (7 km). The name of the village - Podašpilje, literally translated from Croatian language means "Under the cave" and, located in hill, surrounded with forest and the river, really looks spectacular - check out our photos :)

We are offering you high quality private accommodation in our authentic dalmatian stone house. This 60 m2 house is 120 years old, but completely renovated in 2006. At your disposal is an apartment with two bedrooms, ending in a balcony, a bathroom upstairs and a living-room (without abolishing its antique looks) with fully equipped kitchen downstairs. In the front of the house, there is a terrace with the barbecue, and a big pool (27m2) where you can relax and enjoy in the peaceful view. We always welcome our guests and once a week we prepare dinner (local food specilities and homemade wine) for them. You will also be able to taste homemade products such as olive oil, liqueurs etc.

Guests are also welcome to use our old dalmatian tavern (15m2), which we call "Party room" :) Our tavern is made in a way that makes you feel warm and welcome and every meal tastes better there, you'll see. Also, as it's name says, we often use it to celebrate all kind of events, and you're welcome to do the same. You will always find there some bottle of wine or traditional liqueurs which we made...
In the front of the tavern, under the natural shade of a grapevine, there is a big stone table where you can have a lunch or a dinner while enjoying in a peacefull and breathtaking enviroment.

Only 7 km from us is Omis city, very small, but lovely and beautiful city on the Adriatic coast. Also, Omis is an ideal place to plan an active holidays or recreational weekend. Regardless of your sporting preferences, whether it be diving, wind-surfing, rafting or kayaking (on still-water or rapids), hiking, rock-climbing, hang- or paragliding, cycling or boating, this former refuge of pirates and buccaneers offers all of this on a background of exquisite natural beauty. Also, a year ago Omis got a zipline, one of the bigest in this part of Europe.

And don't forget, Split is only 30 km from us!

If you want to explore more you can easily reach Trogir (55 km), Makarska (25 km), Natural park Krka (94 km), Dubrovnik (206 km), islands Brač, Vis or Hvar, Međugorje and Mostar - BIH (150 km).

Welcome!

Location description from owner

The Dalmatia region

Dalmatia is a region on the eastern coast of Adriatic Sea, situated in Croatia. With only 50 km wide at its widest part, it is mostly a coastal region characterized by its coves, secluded beaches, islands and inlets. Due to the rugged coastline and numerous islands of all sizes and topographies, diving, yachting, kayaking and other outdoor activities are very popular in this part of Croatia. Dalmatian coast is known for its warm sea, beautiful islands and stunning medieval towns: Dubrovnik, Split, Zadar, Šibenik, Makarska, Trogir, Omiš...
Village of Podaspilje is in the heart of Dalmatia.

Omis

The second-largest city in Croatia, Split, is a great place to see Dalmatian life as it's really lived. Always buzzing, this exuberant city has just the right balance of tradition and modern. Split is the largest city of the region of Dalmatia. It lies on the eastern shore of the Adriatic Sea, centred on the Roman Palace of the Emperor Diocletian. Spread over a central peninsula and its surroundings, Split's greater area includes the neighboring seaside towns as well (Trogir, Omiš).
Omis is an ideal place to plan an active holidays or recreational weekend.
