Start the day with breakfast sitting at the 2000-year-old Roman stone table enjoying the breathtaking sea-view.

Want something fresh? Feel free to take fruit or vegetables from the organic garden that surrounds you.

Refresh yourself in the private swimming pool and make a “hard decision” – to spend the day with nature, in the canyon of the emerald green River Cetina, or at some of beautiful beaches on the Omis riviera. Perhaps you would like to visit Diocletian's palace in nearby Split, or take a boat excursion to the island of Brac.

If you are feeling more ambitious – two hours of driving and you can see either Dubrovnik or one or two of the famous national parks of Croatia – the River Krka waterfalls or Plitvice lakes.

You can do everything, or you can do nothing – simply stay here in peace and tranquillity, listen to the bird singing and recharge your batteries.

This lovingly renovated traditional Dalmatian estate can accommodate up to 12 adults. It consists of three stone villas, each one fully self-contained with 1 master bedroom, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, living room with additional sleeping (+1), kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a private terrace.

There is a swimming pool and a large outdoor dining area with gas-barbeque. The estate is equipped with internet, satellite television, air conditioning, heating (using solar technology), plus all the usual facilities.

Special offer if you wish to rent two villas!

The entire property (all 3 villas) may be rented, or you can opt to rent just two. If you select the second option, the third house remains locked and will not be rented to anybody outside your own group.

Please contact us for more details.

Should you wish to rent just one villa, this is not a problem, but we do reserve the right to book other villas to visitors outside your party. This would mean sharing the swimming pool but you still have your own private sitting terrace.

Again, please contact us for more details.

Situated at the base of a rock-face and at an elevation of 165m above sea level, Nidus Onei is the ideal start-point for a number of wonderful local walks.

The beach is quite distant but takes just several minutes drive to reach; however, the peace and tranquillity surrounding you are thus much greater as we not adjacent to more public areas.

Our guests can share our experience of olive growing and enjoy a selection of organic fruit and vegetables in the garden.

The site upon which this development stands has its roots in Roman times and we have been fortunate enough to be able to incorporate certain artefacts from this period into the villas themselves. Apart from the crystal-clear sea, the Omis area offers a wide range of activities such as rafting, free-climbing and diving. A rich cultural programme is available, most notably the famous Omis Traditional Song festival.

Naturally, smoking is not allowed inside the villas, but there are outdoor smoking areas.

Pets are most welcome, but we recommend only 1 per booking.

There are rather a large number of steps, so please feel free to ask us for advice if you have any concerns about the suitability for your specific group.

The Dalmatia region

Dalmatia is the perfect destination for those who prefer a combination of outstanding natural beauty, crystal clear, clean sea and historical and cultural monuments.

In just a few hours driving, you can visit old Dalmatian cities like Split (Diocletian's Palace – a unique site where people still live in buildings 2000-years-old), Trogir (a masterpiece of Croatian renaissance), Šibenik, Zadar and Dubrovnik, with its unique city walls, or Ston, a town with 5 km of walls (longest in Europe) and a (solar) salt plant dating from the 12th century and still working.

If you enjoy nature, we recommend you visit to the Krka National Park (1 – 1,5 hours by car) or the National Park of Plitvice lakes (2 – 2,5 hours by car).

The canyon of the River Cetina is also a protected natural area, and is just a few minutes driving from your villa at Nidus Onei.

The climate of the region is Mediterranean, giving hot summers, and a swimming season from the end of May to the end of September.

The spring and autumn periods are also extremely pleasant, with many hours of sunshine, attracting more and more people from Northern European countries. Spring and autumn are especially interesting for bird-watchers as the region is ideal for watching migrating groups of birds.

For photographers, all times of the year will give excellent results – it's the quality of the light that makes the difference!

Dalmatian cuisine (especially fish of all descriptions) and olive oils are also an important reason why our guests return year after year.

Omis has a charming old-town area steeped in charm, numerous bars and restaurants. Don't miss an opportunity to climb the tower of Mirabella and see the roofs of old Omis. There is also an old fortress at the top of the hill above the town with magnificent panoramic views all around the area and across to the island of Bra?.

Apart from the crystal-clear sea, the Omis area offers a wide range of activities such as rafting on the River Cetina, free-climbing and diving.

The river, and its magnificent canyon, attracts more and more visitors every year due to its unique and unrivalled beauty. On its way to the sea, the river has created long sandy beaches that are a characteristic of this part of the coast.

A rich cultural programme is available, most notably the famous Omis Traditional Dalmatian Song festival.

Nidus Onei villas are well-placed to allow you all the opportunities to spend a relaxing or adventurous holiday, with a welcome as warm as the sun.
