Description

This property at El Bosque de la Mairena is a treasure. Furnished to a high standard with marble floors throughout and an additional glazed sunroom with glass doors that can be opened onto the garden area allowing the cool breeze to keep the temperature in summer glorious or alternatively close them over in the cooler times of the mild winters to enjoy the view without the chill. The kitchen is fitted to a high specification including Granite Conter Tops, Hob, Oven, Microwave, Fridge Freezer and Dishwasher and all necessary utensils. The separate utility room including Washing Machine has a door leading to a back patio area, also beautifully shaded for the hot summer days.

The bedrooms are a very good size with fitted wardrobes and ample space for storage. The ensuite has a walk in double shower, two w.h.bs and w.c. and the separate bathroom has a shower with w.h.b and w.c. The master bedroom has sliding doors that lead directly out to the sunroom and on to the garden area.

While a car is essential for this location, the development is set in beautiful surroundings, declared a natural biosphere reserve by UNESCO and only seven kilometres from Elviria beach east of Marbella and well worth the trip. The residential development is surrounded by a strikingly beautiful oak forest and has incredible sea views. Having a relaxed atmosphere, undisturbed by any noise from traffic yet set close to good quality road links leading into the hills. There are several prestigious international local schools, a shopping centre, supermarkets, bars and restaurants beside the Elviria exit of the coastal road. As a guest of this property, you will have access to the nine hole El Soto Golf Course, which also has a gym, sauna and a clubhouse with a restaurant. Within 5 minutes drive, you can also play golf on the famous 36 hole La Cala course and the 18 hole Dona Maria again not 10 minutes from the property.

The views from the property look over the coast of Costa Del Sol from Granada to Gibraltar and across the Africa. The beach is a 10 minutes drive downhill where you can enjoy the spectacular views on your way. Elviria beach is the location of the famous Nikki Beach.

We have an onsite property manager who will meet and greet you with keys and show the workings of the property and give the information needed for your stay.

The Costa del Sol region

Situated on the Costa Del Sol approximately 40 minutes from Malaga airport, Elviria is located in the hills only 7kms from the beach. This consistent sunny climate allows for some glorious days lying on the beach, walking the hills or sipping a coffee in one of the local bars while watching the world go by.

Should you choose to hit the nightlife Puerto Banus is 20 minutes way and is a vibrant buzzing town full of life and colour. Nightly during the summer months there is a market in the square in the port where you can wander around and pick up some local treasures.

Other places of interest within driving distance stretch from Granada to visit the Alhambra within one hour twenty minutes drive from the apartment. This infamous palace with its breathtaking architecture is a must. Then continue up the mountain to the Sierre Nevada where at any time of the year the views from the little villages and stunning. Skiing an added bonus from November to April.

Rhonda a 30 minute drive sports the amazing Bull Ring and Museum and has daily Bull FIghting shows. Wandering the ancient streets of the old town and have lunch in one of the little restaurants while enjoying the views across the valley.

Mijas - 20 minutes from the apartment is a typical Spanish town. Shops and Restaurants galore. This is a place you cannot miss. Take a ride on the horse drawn carriage and see tiny streets which you can later wander through.

Beach at Elviria and Cabopino provides many water based activities, from pedal boating, canoes, banana boats and scuba diving. Located just 500m from the beach in Elviria, Aventura Amazonia is a relatively new Costa del Sol attraction which is great fun for all members of the family. It's one of our favourite places to go at the moment and quite safe as there are qualified instructors on hand to see you don't come to any harm. Offering 83 challenges with 20 ziplines over 6 adventure circuits so you can choose the one which best suits you. They include MiniKids, Kids, Explorador, Jungla, Aventura and Deportivo plus three training circuits. It has the longest treetop zipline in Andalusia which is 240m in length. The MiniKids area has challenges for young children aged 4 to 7, and also offers a creche for parents who want somewhere to leave their little ones while they do the circuits. www.amazonia.com

Shopping: For the shopaholics among you, why not take an evening to wander through the Parque Commercial at La Canada which is packed with Fashion, Beauty, Electronics, Sports and a large selection of Restaurants. Try the little tapas bars on the second floor or grab a pizza to go. Hey they also have McDonalds.....

The biggest theme park on the Costa del So and really good fun for everyone. Over 20 rides from merry-go-rounds to Water Slide Rides. There are kids shows, flamenco show, restaurants and gardens. A great family day out and open until 2:00 am in the summer!

My Favourite of all the Costa Del Sol theme parks! It reminds me of Jurassic Park, large open sided lorries drive you through the various animal enclosures and up into the hills above Estepona. There are elephants, bears, hippos and so much more to see. In the summer cover up as its very hot and not much shelter. Wear sensible shoes. There is also a small farm area.

Torremolinos has a purpose built Crocodile Park with 300 Crocodiles. You can have the chance to even hold one!
There are guided tours and shows around the park and even a baby crocodile nursery to see. There is also a mini zoo, kids play area and cafeteria.

Golfer Paradise, the Costa del Sol is renowned for its endless choice of high quality Golf Courses. Elviria is fortunately a central location to access all these courses. El Soto to practice your short game, leading down to Santa Maria at the end of the hill. Over the hill and not 10 minutes from the apartment is the resort of La Cala which sports three courses. Rio Real and Santa Clara are both a short drive along the cost or the fabulously challenging course at La Quinta in San Pedro. After a day out you may wish to stay local and not cook for yourself. You have the choice of the local Kudu Bar or El Soto Golf Club. These restaurants both provide very high standards of food and very reasonably priced. There are themed nights (food wise) in the Kudu Bar and the friendly atmosphere is wonderful. All sports events are shown here on their TV for all to enjoy.

“what a brilliant holiday!!”

What a brilliant find! the apartment was excellent, good size, great location and everything you would need for a self catering holiday. We spent a great amount of time in the pool which was never crowded. My son quickly made friends with other children there and didn't want to come home; neither did the rest of us. Plenty of supermarkets nearby to get everything you need (go to Carrefour supermarket if you have fussy kids who need things like squash!). The setting of the apartment in the hills was excellent as it was nice and quiet but only a short 5 min drive down to Elviria where Nikki Beach is definitely worth going. There is an adventure park there also where you can climb through trees on harnesses and not too expensive. Food wise we cooked a lot in the apartment only because my kids are fussy eaters but there are lots of places nearby.. Definitely hire a car if you can and make some day trips to water parks and surrounding towns like Ronda and Mijas. To the owners of the apartment; this was a brilliant location and the apartment was first class and thank you..For those visiting you don't need to pack too much as there is washing machine in the apartment and clothes dry really quickly. Broadband was a god send for my teenage daughter who can't get enough of facebook! All in all wonderful 10 days and would definitely go back again.
