Description from owner

Description

1 bedroom 1920's vintage cottage at Birch Knoll with hardwood floors. 13 acres of beautiful grounds that include a heated swimming pool and large grassy lawns and woods with abundant wildlife, including deer & turkeys. Just 100 yards south of the famous Ogunquit Playhouse right off US Route 1. 1 mile to the center of Ogunquit, although it is outside the city limits of Ogunquit. The cottage sits back far from the road and is quiet and peaceful. There is a private picnic table in the back yard and BBQ area, as well a community fire pit also.

The cottage was built in 1920 and has the original hardwood floors and charm it is about 400 square feet. (not a full size house, built as motel cottage) There is one good sized bedroom with a queen bed, full bathroom with a bathtub/shower off the bedroom. There is a queen sized sleeper sofa in the living room to allow an additional guest, although the space is very crowded when the sofa is folded out. We use it scarcely and when we do, we put it up first thing in the morning to get by to the kitchen as with the sofa out, it does block the kitchen off. The cottage was decorated & furnished by a professional home Stager with good quality furnishings. Kitchen is fully furnished with pots, pans, plates, silverware, glass ware, mixing bowls etc. The oven is an apartment sized gas oven (small, but has 4 burners). Coffee pot, microwave & toaster.

There is one flat wall mounted TV with basic cable in the living room.

There is a community (shared) laundry room with coin operated machines.

Non smoker policy: Everyone in the group must be a non-smoker.

No Pet Policy: We do not allow pets. This cottage was recently restored and all the furnishings are of good quality in like new condition. We want to keep the condition of the cottage very nice, clean and odor free for ourselves and all of our guests. So we are not accepting pets.

Non-smoking policy- We do not allow smokers as the cottage and grounds are smoke free.

Interaction with guest

All interaction will be via email, text or phone as you need, as you will have full use of the cottage yourself. I do have friends in the complex that help me with things as well as emergency contacts for emergency repairs if need be. But I do not live there, it is my vacation home away from home. So if you are there, I will not be.
