We feel our place is something special and magical. Our property sits high up on a vast amount of land near Luzianes - Gare, Alentejo, Portugal with spectacular views. We are in one of the most quiet and peaceful places in the area, with beautiful gardens and surrounded by nature. We are 100% solar powered with tracking and we have our own water, making us not only luxurious, but eco- friendly as well. If it is a quiet and relaxing holiday that you want then we are the place for that. The property is remote and beautifully located with wonderful starry skies at night and views that go on and on...A salt water swimming pool to cool you off during the hot summer months and juice bar with nutritional juices to boost your energy. We have beautiful gardens and walks on the land. As well as all of this, we have an outdoor BBQ for all to use. We are 45 minutes to the coast and 25 minutes to Odemira. The coastline close to us is one of the most beautiful in the world, with much to explore and to see. We are 15 minutes drive to the breathtaking Santa Clara Lake.The one bedroom House Casa Do Jardim fits 3 ADULTS and 2 Adults and 2 children under 12 years old - kitchen, living room, Single loft bed, outdoor dining terrace. An extra bed is possible.The Room Quarto Do Patio is a few feet away from the Guest house with a double bed and bathroom and shower and can sleep 2 people (extra charge for extra bed) We also have Quarto do Sobreira which can also be booked at a separate price. It sleeps two and has an en suite bathroomThere is a simple outdoor shared kitchen to support both these rooms with stove, all kitchen equipment cutlery and fridgeTogether, both sleep 8 or can be booked separately.We offer one free yoga class upon booking of one week, and additional classes if desired. We also offer private dining and cooking classes (with notice) and we can arrange for pick up from Faro or Lisbon airport. We are happy to tailor make your stay, with yoga and other activities, to provide you with a relaxing stay, which will make you feel relaxed, rejuvenated and revived.

“Top five most relaxing place we've ever been to!”

Writing a review for Martinheiras is a real pleasure. We knew it looked like a nice and remote place to go. We were surprised how amazing ... and very remote it was. If you want to have a real break, look no further. We could have been on a desert island and get the same feeling of peace and quietness. Although the house is very remote, it makes you feel you are in a very unique spot. The garden is very delicate, the swimming pool has the perfect size and the hosts are incredibly friendly... We spent one full week, and only went shopping on the first day. Then we stayed there, relaxing under the sun. We also took our first Yoga class, and even though I was not interested at first, the quality of the cession was so good, that we signed up for another course a couple of days later. All in all, it was unique, relaxing and beautiful.

“An idyllic mountain retreat guaranteed to sooth away your stress”

I have to say I was a little sceptical about heading out to the mountains in the middle of nowhere for a holiday, but my partner wanted to go so off we headed......however upon our arrival the beauty of the place was astounding.....the welcoming owners make you feel immediately relaxed and the log wood fires keep you super cozy on chilly evenings. The whole place is completely Eco friendly with solar heating and electricity and its very own water well. Walking around the grounds or laying by the pool in the day is lovely or the beach is a short drive away....then pass the gorgeous evenings with a glass of vino and gazing out to the milky way with the endless starry night sky.....all in all I loved this little hide away a chilled relax zone with all the comforts of home. We stayed in the one bedroom apartment which is completely self contained and is lovely and private if you want to really hide away. The main house if also delightful and the owners are happy to cook gorgeous meals if you want to be more sociable.

How do damage deposits work?
