Summary

Come and stay in our beautiful double room where you will be comfortable and have a home from home in Nottingham. The room has everything you need and is clean, fresh and comes with towels, desk, Wifi and most importantly a comfortable bed. Discounts available for longer stays, but shorter stays are also welcome. The hosts are myself (Mark) and Hayley, and we will interact with you as much or as little as you want. We hope you choose to stay with us, and we'll try to make it a memorable stay.

The space

The Room:

Newly decorated Large double size bedroom, with a double wooden bed and a comfortable mattress.The duvet and pillows were recently purchased. The room has good heating and also comes with extra linen and blankets for further warmth in winter. The colour scheme is neutral and clean, with some framed art and a shelf of books free to use. The room also includes 2 mirrors, a large wardobe, ample drawer space, and good Wifi. There is also a TV with many freeview channels. There is an adapter for foreign travellers to use the electrical sockets. The bedroom looks geographically south, meaning it receives the most possible sunlight. Our place is perfect for couples as the room is spacious and private from the hosts. Past guests of ours have complimented our very comfortable bed, the pretty decoration of the house, and how relaxed and helpful my girlfriend and I are as hosts.

The House:

The place is a Victorian English architectural style, constructed in 1900. The house has British character but modernised for 21st Century living. We keep the house warm, with many plants and nice furnishings. The Wifi connection is premium, so working online or watching movies is easy from any room in the house. Our place is perfect for couples as the room is spacious and private from us hosts.

Guest access

We have shared access to the kitchen, the bathroom and the garden. You will be the only guest in the house other than us (my partner and I). There is free parking on the street, which is a quiet cul-de-sac (your car will be secure).

Breakfast is included. This consists of a variery of cereals, toast, teas and coffees, milk. It is self-service.

We provide towels and linen, cleaned well after every guest.

Getting around

Walking - The city centre is accessible by foot for those who don't mind walking 20-30 minutes. From the house, go to the end of the road, turn right and follow the road down the hill until you reach the main road (Carlton Road) where you can frequently see various buses. Close to the Motorpoint Ice Arena. Walk towards it to the right side for Hockley, or to the left side for the Lace Market. From each of these it is just a short walk to the centre of town.

Interaction with guest

Hosts can advise you on where to go, what to see and do in Nottingham, eating out, entertainment, sites and tours to explore. We share kitchen and bathroom access. There are no other guests in the house except the hosts (my girflriend Hayley and I).

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Mark (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
