Description

SUMMARY:

A characterful period property in a lovely residential area. We're close to local amenities, major bus routes, Woodthorpe Park, City and QMC hospitals, CARE and Nurture IVF clinics and the city centre (just 10 mins away). And there are lots of great restaurants within a short walk.

This is a spacious, sunny double room (on 1st floor) with ensuite, gorgeous period 2nd bathroom with cast iron bath and private TV room with Sky+HD (downstairs) and Wifi. Plus free organic, natural toiletries for your use.

Ideal for couples, solo and business travellers.

THE TRIP:

Enjoy a private and spacious double room in a detached Victorian property in a lovely residential area. It has an ensuite bathroom with toilet, shower and sink, but you will also have private use of the straight-from-a-magazine bathroom with a cast iron bath, toilet, sink and roomy shower.

You will also have private use of a small lounge with TV with includes Sky+HD and if the weather is nice, can make use of the garden. There is free wifi throughout the house.

Use of the kitchen and laundry facilities may be possible - please enquire. Please note that this is not a self-contained dwelling but a room in our home and we will also be present.

There is ample, free, on-road parking.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD:

Sherwood has lots of great restaurants - all within a short walk from our home. You can select from Indian, Italian, French, Japanese, Polish, English, Caribbean, Portuguese, Spanish and more. There are several pubs and bars to choose from including one specialising in craft beer and another in gin and lots of cafes open during the day.

We're just a short 10 min drive away from the City Centre and everything that has to offer, but we also have lots of local amenities including Woodthorpe Park which is ideal to walk around (with or without a dog!). We're only a 5 min drive away from the City hospital and dependent on traffic, 20 mins from the QMC.

Guests often remark on how they feel like they're in the countryside when they visit us yet are just a short walk away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Sherwood has an eclectic feel to it with a strong sense of community and a very creative one at that! There is a regular calendar of events such as Sherwood Art Week (which includes crochet bombing of benches, light poles and anything that can be wrapped!), craft fairs, yoga and pilates classes, Mapperley Park Open Gardens and much more to enjoy.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:

You may also like to treat yourself to a holistic therapy while you're here as Beki is a complementary therapist and we have a therapy room set up at home. Choose from Aromatherapy, Ear Candling, Holistic Facials, Indian Head Massage, Reflexology, Reiki or Swedish Massage - or a combination of 2 in one session.

We do have a cat so we're not suitable for those with allergies.
