Description

Higher Shippen, once housed livestock through the winter and was converted in the early 1990’s it was a family home for 12 years. A fully equipped Kitchen with Ray-burn (this heats all hot water - on all year) Electric hob and oven, leads into a large lounge with a wood burning stove (winter use- heats all radiators) Free view TV and DVD. 2 large bedrooms and a large family bathroom with roll top bath upstairs, the 3rd bedroom is situated on the lower ground down 2 steps. The utility has a separate toilet and sink, Electric shower room, and washing machine. Surrounded by a garden with patio area, garden furniture and parking for two cars.

Getting around

Walking is the main way of getting around this beautiful peninsula, however a car is great the visit neighbouring villages and beaches, and even Dartmoor National Park.

Interaction with guest

We hope to be able to greet you on arrival, if we are not available we will give you details for entering the property, and we will visit once you are settled. We will be available during most of your stay, but as we are a working farm we may be away from the farmhouse, but are never too far away. You will have a welcome basket with milk tea coffee sugar and biscuits along with eggs from our hens. Other extras are available on request, some of these do require a payment.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
