Just as Costa Rica provides inspiration as one of the world's protected sanctuaries, abundant in nature's exotic gems- Jade is an inspiring retreat nestled where jungle meets the Pacific at Playa Guiones. A place for exploration of what is natural within ourselves, and the transcendent natural beauty of the flora, fauna and wildlife that surrounds us there. This native shelter of teak, stone and water seamlessly blend with gardens and canopy for an intimate connection between architecture and nature, comfort and inspiration. Interconnected spaces invite the flexible movement of a sensory experience between living and dreaming. This is my Garden of Eden.

The main house is at one end of the pool. You can cook or private chefs prepare meals for you. The large terrace is a ftranquil gathering place for guests. The five free standing master suites are arranged around the covered Yoga‬ pavilion and large swimming pool which also serves as a soothing water feature. Each of the suites is a free-standing building- designed for privacy. Two deluxe suites have indoor/outdoor bathrooms. All 5 suites have a covered terrace for peaceful meditation. In addition to the five suites, two bunk houses each contain two sets of bunk beds (each of the two bunk houses has 4 beds).

It's ideal for an multi-generational family, Yoga retreat, surfing retreat, or any group of people who want to be together in a very comfortable, secure, private environment -- and have the ability to spend time away from the group as well. If you have a group that is larger than 18...we can help you find a neighbor (such as a second condo or villa). This home was conceived and is furnished as a minimalist Zen retreat.

Getting around

I recommend walking, taking a Tuk-Tuk or quad as a way of getting around Guiones. Quads can be arranged for you... pick-up is a few minute walk from Jade. Tuk-tuks are $4-$5 dollars each way & carry 3-4 people. (they are a great way to travel in the rain)

Interaction with guest

I have two of the best Concierges & property managers in the business. They have lived in Guiones for years and can be found surfing daily just a couple hundred yards from Jade.... Matty also bartends some days at one of the coolest surf bars on the way to the beach. These two know whats going on around town. They can tell you about live music and other events. They will help you put together an incredible experience... zip lining, quad tours, sea turtles, surf lessons, yoga classes...just ask.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
