Further details outdoors

The apartment is situated in the heart of the oldest part of Norwich, Tombland, it therefore enjoys views of the Cathedral and the historic Elm Hill area which is home to a host of beautiful antique shops and quaint restaurants.

The apartment is extremely secure and discreet, it faces Tombland but is access by a little lane called Waggon & Horses lane, you then enter the security gates and the apartment and it's parking space is located within the gates. I would say this is high on the lists of benefits as it takes the pressure off looking for a car park on arrival, there is no additional charge and you know that the car can be left unattended for the duration of the stay and it will not be harmed.

The East Anglia region

Norwich achieves an enviable balance as an enchanting cathedral city and a thriving modern metropolis. The city boasts some of the finest medieval architecture in Britain with its cathedral, castle and intricate network of winding streets. By contrast the city’s newest centrepiece, The Forum, represents contemporary architecture at its best.

There is a vibrant mix of theatres, cinemas, arts festivals, exhibitions, museums, numerous pubs, stylish café bars and a vast array of restaurants. The shopping is excellent and the atmosphere relaxed and friendly.

Explore Holkham Beach (pictured), which featured in the final scenes of Shakespeare in Love, then enjoy the view across the marshes from The White Horse Brancaster Staithe, voted one of the most romantic locations in the UK.

Take a stroll through the snowdrops at Bagthorpe Hall, near East Rudham. The garden is open in aid of the Norfolk National Gardens Scheme or join the special Valentine’s Day guided walk, at Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden. There are more snowdrops at Raveningham Gardens near Loddon or Walsingham Abbey grounds

“Great apartment - great location”

Reviewed 29 Apr 2013

We visited Norwich for an event at St Andrews Halls and tagged on extra days in order to enjoy the beautiful city, and its attractions. The Samson Apartment was ideally situated, and proved perfect for us. It was centrally located so we could return to it easily and quickly to relax for a while, before setting out to explore more of Norwich. The apartment was spacious, well appointed and comfortable, and had been cleaned to a high standard for our arrival. Even though we were close to the city centre, we were not troubled by noise, even over the weekend. A major bonus was the secure car parking. We’ll certainly book it again when we return to Norwich.
