Description

Woodpecker Lodge is located in the quite village of Honing which is perfectly based for exploring the Norfolk coastline and countryside.

Contemporary lodge finished to a very high standard. The downstairs accommodation comprises a smart open planned kitchen dinner and living area, entrance hall, large double bedroom and a wet room which is disabled friendly. Upstairs there is double bedroom with views over farmland, twin bedroom, spacious landing and bathroom.

The property is situated an equal distance between the market towns of North Walsham and Stalham which both have a good range of essential amenities.

“Perfect New Year”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Woodpecker Lodge. The breakfast hamper was a lovely touch, especially the homemade bread. Great location for seeing our friends who live in Norwich and Martham. We visited the beach at Winterton, Bacton Woods, overstrand and Cromer, all great walks with the dog. Thank you for a very comfortable stay in your beautiful lodge, we will be back!

My husband is on a motorised scooter all the time and managed to have a stress free weekend, which allowed me to relax a lot. We shared the accommodation with my sister and her husband so was even better. Lovely place, wonderful hosts. Little extras were nice surprise. Thank you Martin.

Just returned from a weekend in this property. What a wonderful place to go to. Quiet setting.Good for getting around Norfolk. Very clean and tidy property. Very spacious accommodation. Welcome pack was nice surprise and very thoughtful of owner. Will recommend to family and friends and will be going there again.

ideally located to explore the norfolk coast ,the broads ,norwich,and loads more,. Very comfortable very spacious and very clean and warm ...... Kitted out with everything you need for your stay, towels bedding ect. lovely welcome basket on arrival. Peacefull surroundings. ..Friendly and helpfull hosts, .lovely downstairs bathroom, wet room Ideal for a family with a disabled family member ,,,,

This is not our first time to Norfolk but it's the best one. The cottage was superb wich caters well for disabled people. Central to all of Norfolk which gives you access to Norwich and Gt Yarmouth and for birdwatching the superb Tichwell site is not too far. There are numerous shopping sites within 15 minutes. Boating, sailing and fishing activities are abundant.

My daughter and I spent a pleasant two days at the lodge . The beds were comfortable and the house was warm and beautifully clean. The sun in the lounge on Sunday morning was a bonus after a wet Saturday, spent happily shopping in lovely little shops in Holt. Martin and his wife were welcoming and friendly and I look forward to going again when my friend who couldn't make it is better.

if u want a clean cottage book woodpecker cottage the people are very friendly very easy to find we had a christmas at this cottage the beds were comfortable and very clean the way in shower was very good the only draw back no tv in the shower ha ha only joking we will book another holiday at this cottage thanks to u both for a great stay brian sheila terry paul nick gordon and bella th dog

On arrival welcomed with basket containing homemade bread, marmalade, coffee, eggs, butter, biscuits and milk. - a lovely addition. Property was welcoming, clean, spacious and two bathrooms a good feature. Lovely quiet location . Friendly hosts. Would stay here again and would recommend to family and friends.

The house is beautifully presented & impeccably clean. The owners were very helpful without being intrusive. The welcome basket was a lovely touch. Beautiful quiet surroundings but close to The Broads, the fantastic Norfolk coast and other attractions such as Dinosaur Land. Would not hesitate to recommend this property.
