Description

Garden Lodge is a large modern conversion of part of a former horticultural college, it is set within four acres of gardens and the owner's small Nursery. The lodge has it's own private enclosed garden although guests are also welcome to stroll through the majority of the owners gardens. Guests also have exclusive use of the private heated swimming pool (May - Sept incl)

Garden Lodge makes an ideal holiday location, being situated half way between the coast (10 miles) and the historic city of Norwich (approx.9 miles) which offers a wide variety of interest from its ancient castle and cathedral, to its excellent shopping facilities and its thriving riverside nightlife. The Norfolk Broads are all within a few miles of the property, and are a haven for those who enjoy boating, fishing and the beauty of the waterways. The east coast offers lovely sandy beaches, including the lively resort of Great Yarmouth (10 miles), and the quieter beaches at Winterton and Sea Palling. Shops, pubs and restaurants 2 ½ miles.

As we want our guests to have an extra special break we will offer to take delivery of your online grocery shopping and put it away prior to your arrival so that you can arrive to the cupboards and fridge stocked with your favorite things.

A meal out? - need to pre-book a restaurant or taxi? As bookings usually start on Fridays guests could find that the best restaurants are booked up for the peak weekend evenings ... we can recommend places suitable for your party and give you their details prior to arrival so that you can make guaranteed reservations.

“Brilliant for a large group of all ages - felt like home!”

Great service, warm welcome from hosts who were always available if needed. Property was very clean and homely with adequate space and good equipment. Grounds were beautiful, swimming pool and hot tub a definite bonus and were very clean. Ping pong table got loads of use, as did the children's climbing frame. Good location, although a little road noise - transport is essential if you wish to venture out. Good walks close by at Burlingham Woodland Walks. A fabulous time had by all, we had an extra two family members stopping in the b & b room adjoining the property - which was very convenient. A great place for people of all ages.

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. The house had everything you could need, the surrounding gardens were lovely and the children loved the swimming pool. The hot tub was great and was used every day.

This is a great house set in beautiful grounds. It was really clean and had everything we needed. Everything was really clean and the owners were very helpful. We had age ranges from 7 to 60 and all were catered for. The size s fine for a party of 10. I would holy recommend it.

An age range of 4 months to 65 years for a family celebration. The play area, the grounds,the maze, the swimming pool and the hot tub were all great favourites. The lodge's decor throughout is as shown on the website was excellent. We hope to return sometime in the future.

We absolutely loved our stay here. Very spacious and clean, lovely decor - a luxury home from home feel! The gardens were excellent for the children to run around in, very safe and beautifully kept. The swimming pool is fantastic and we loved sitting in the hot tub under the stars in the evening whilst the children were safely sleeping inside. The accommodation is in a perfect location to get to the broads, Norwich and Great Yarmouth, quickly and easily. Andy and Rachel, the owners, are extremely helpful and friendly. Whether visiting for a weekend, week or longer, you will love it here!

We stayed here as we were going to a wedding nearby. What a place! Swimming pool, hot tub, play area for the kids, beautiful gardens, what more could you want? The accommodation itself has been done to a magnificent standard. Very light and airy, modern & clean. There is more than enough sleeping capacity for large groups and the living space is big enough to cope too. Friendly hosts, great weather and a truly beautiful place made this the perfect break and is one holiday I will definitely remember.

We stayed here for our late family Christmas. Ages ranged from 24 to 63, we all felt that there was more than enough to do. All of us enjoyed the use of the hot tub!! We made the most of our stay and went in to Norwich City Centre on Saturday to do shopping and on Sunday we took a long walk around the surrounding area. We had a lot of snow during our stay but this didn't limit us to what we could do, we just wrapped up warm and embraced it. All the facilities and amenities were available at Garden Lodge, it was very much like home from home. When we arrived the house was spotless!! I would say we had just two minor criticisms: • Bath towels provided weren’t the biggest (they didn’t fit round a lot of our party) • No dial information on the oven, so everything was done by guess work (could do with a detailed laminate on the wall, detailing what each dial is and where the temperature is) Other than that we would HIGHLY recommend Garden Lodge to everyone!!

We stayed for a stag weekend and had a great time relaxing and hanging out in the accomodation. High quality finish throughout, hot tub was great to end the days with. Huge garden and some pretty competitive table tennis games when the weather wasn't great. Pool looks like it would be great in the summer. Close to the broads. Prompt and friendly service from owners.

The Lodge was the first one I saw and knew it was an instant winner! There was 10 of us and it didnt disappoint. Even with all 10 of us it did not feel crowded. The hot tub and pool were fantastic. As a base to get into Norwich and to the coast it is perfect. The only downside was the noisy road behind the trees in the garden. But being out and about all day it did not matter. And you could not hear it when you closed the windows and doors. Having said that I would recommend this property.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
