The Apartment primarily sleeps 3 in 5 star luxury (king size and single bed) but can accommodate an additional small child by utilising an oak single bespoke trundle bed 2.5ft x 5ft if required. Baby Travel cots and lined Moses basket are also available upon request. All bedding provided for all guests.
The Large luxurious lounge area is fully equipped with everything needed for a perfect holiday. Featuring 50" 3D HD Plasma TV and Blu Ray DVD with Satellite TV, Home Cinema, Surround Sound, Wii console, Wii Board and games, Free WiFi and Free UK landline telephone calls. The Lounge also features ample seating including an electric leather recliner in the reading corner by the large window and large sofa/chaise for the ultimate in relaxation. Solid Oak furniture throughout property with oak flooring, Games, both board and electronic, reading material and other entertainment materials all provided. We also provide games/toys for very young children.
The fully equipped kitchen is just like a home from home having a gas hob, double electric oven, dishwasher, integrated full size fridge-freezer, microwave, slow cooker, Stainless Steel Hahn cookware, a kettle, toaster and a coffee maker for fresh coffee. Also included are all the necessary items to allow you to eat at the Apartment in style including Denby crockery, Hahn cookware, heavy gauge cutlery and crystal glassware. We also provide plastic plates, bowls, cups and cutlery for our younger guests and can offer a high chair too. We are delighted to provide fresh flowers and a complimentary mini-hamper for each booking containing fresh bread, butter, jam, fruit, tea, coffee, fresh milk, sugar and cereal. Have your first breakfast on us!
The beautiful contemporary bathroom features a double sized 'couple' shower with body jets and rain head shower, heated towel rail, deluxe heavy weight 800gsm towels, velour bath robes and a heated (demisting), illuminated mirror - perfect for make up application. There's also an electric socket for shavers on the side of the mirror. We also provide luxury full size Cole & Lewis products for use during your stay – shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap and hand & body lotion. We also provide complimentary bathroom essentials such as, cotton wool balls or cotton buds.
The master bedroom contains a deep deluxe 5ft King-size mattress and the second bedroom a 3ft Single mattress. Both mattresses are pocket sprung underneath for excellent lumbar support topped with memory foam for the ultimate in comfort. Both bedrooms offer a choice of pillows from the Pillow Menu, with options on bedding too. Beds are made up with 300 thread count white top hotel quality bedding which is complimented with decorative cushions and bed runners in keeping with the room decor. A double duvet bed set is in place in the single bedroom to ensure a high quality of comfort. All mattresses feature deluxe mattress protectors and the pillows all feature pillow protectors. Additional duvets are in the property so that you can change if necessary between 4.5 and 7.5 tog duvets depending on your comfort levels. Both bedrooms offer Flat Panel HD TV and DVDs and radio alarm clocks with ipod docking stations.
Both bedrooms are also fitted with black out blinds to ensure those long lie ins are not disturbed (vital during the summer months when the sun pops up long before most holiday makers). There is excellent master bedroom storage with 2 oak wardrobes and a chest of drawers. Both rooms feature full length mirrors. Hairdryers are provided in both rooms.We can offer a extra large travel cot and/or a moses basket for our young guests with cotton bedding for each.
For bookings with younger guests, we fit door safety catches to our doors and plug covers to all exposed plug sockets.
Overall, The Imperial Apartment is finished to a very high quality, the oak furniture and floorings are complemented with cream walls, white coving and original oil paintings of North Berwick scenes throughout. All paintings in the Apartment are for sale as are limited edition giclee prints of the works on display. All paintings are by Artist Tracey Pacitti, co-owner of The Imperial Apartment.
East Lothian, on the east coast of Scotland, is famous for its stunning rolling countryside, miles of magnificent coastline, golden sandy beaches, not to mention award winning attractions and golf courses. East Lothian attractions include the award winning Scottish Sea Bird Centre in North Berwick, the National Museum of Flight, Dirleton Castle, Tantallon Castle and Muirfield Golf Course (which hosted the open championship in July 2013). Many suggest that this part of Scotland has a unique micro climate with more sunshine hours per year; certainly weather data does seem to back that up!
The area is very popular with golfers, cyclists, ramblers, photographers and countless more who enjoy beautiful surroundings with charming villages, historic houses and castles. Golfers may like to know that Muirfield is only 4.5 miles from The Imperial Apartment, as are the splendid new courses at the Archerfield Estate. There are a further 15 golf courses within a 20 minute drive of the Apartment. Whilst our Apartment is situated on the 2nd floor of the former Imperial Hotel, we offer a large ground floor, heated room to store golf caddies and to dry golf or walking clothing.
For non-golfers, the vibrant and bustling High Street of North Berwick, with its abundance of quality and unique shops, art galleries and restaurants, is only 2 steps from the apartment's front door. Don't forget that beautiful Edinburgh, capital of Scotland is only 20 miles away (30 minutes by car or can be reached direct from the regular trains that stop at North Berwick station).

“Very good appartment in a great location.”
Don't be put off by the entrance lobby! The appartment itself is so much better than this first impression. It is set up for a maximum three people and offers very good space in this respect. It is very well appointed throughout and lounge, dinning and sleeping arrangements are all very good. If you prefer a bath you'll struggle but the appartment affords a very good shower and other bathroom facilities in the space available. It's extremely well positioned and at least a two minute walk to the best pub in town! Be mindful that it is on the second floor of three. We are quite fussy about noise and did experience some from above in the mornings but would have no real complaint. Our hosts were extremely attentive when we experienced a small issue with wifi and the welcome hamper was a very nice gesture. We have visited North Brewick a number of times but our preferred 5 star accommodation was not available this year. We're not sure we prefer it any more!

It's fair to say the entrance lobby is uninspiring. White walls, concrete steps but this is a communal entrance and not part of our offering. Step inside our front door and enjoy a 5 star luxury experience. We are indeed on the 2nd floor of the building and have a ground floor, securely locked room if you decide to come with golf clubs, paddle boards, surf gear or other sports equipment. “Brilliant week by the Sea”
This holiday apartment is by far the best and most luxurious we have stayed in and we have been coming to North Berwick for 20 years. It is beautifully furnished and has everything you need for a wonderful holiday, Tracey's attention to detail is fantastic.It is in an ideal location for the shops, restaurants and take aways all within a minutes walk away, we didn't use our car for the full week, went by train into Edinburgh. We will definitely be returning.

“Best Apartment Rental in North Berwick!”
My husband and I just returned from 2 fabulous months in North Berwick, Scotland and the Imperial Apartment was a large part of our trip. Mike and Tracey Pacetti have thought of everything in furnishing the apartment. Tracey was so helpful in our planning, answering all of our questions and if she didn't know the answer she would research it and get back to us! The apartment is very comfortable, roomy and tastefully decorated. Plush robes, quality linens, every kitchen utensil you could think of as well as a large, well stocked "Welcome Basket" to get us started. The Imperial is located at one end of High Street, 2 blocks from the Harbor, across the street from The Lodge Grounds. A perfect location. We relied on public transportation and it was an easy walk down High Street to the train station or a few blocks to catch the local buses. Tracey has two large binders of local attractions along with menus from the area restaurants to help with your stay. I could go on and on and highly recommend the Imperial Apartment, even the neighbors were fun and helpful!

“A superb luxury apartment.”
The Imperial apartment is situated just 5 minutes' walk from the beach and the Lodge with beautiful gardens. The shops are right opposite on the High Street. There is a free car park to the side and rear of the apartment although this gets very crowded we managed to park there every day. The apartment is really well equipped and comfortable. It is superbly presented and equipped with everything you could possibly need right down to a selection of DVD's Books and Games. It is meticulously clean. Lovely comfortable bedrooms with a selection of pillows and duvets. The lounge has welcoming furnishings with plenty of comfortable seats. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need including coffee maker, microwave and dishwasher along with a fridge/freezer; everything was beautifully clean and worked perfectly. There is free internet access and free use of the telephone so we were able to keep in touch with the family. We would unreservedly recommend The Imperial Apartment to anyone. You could not wish for better.

“Wonderful apartment, superb location”
We had a great week in North Berwick, staying in this luxurious aprtment. Every kitchen utensil and piece of equipment that we needed, comfortable beds, great big TV to watch the Commonwealth Games (when we weren't there in person ;-)). Centrally located, we walked everywhere, including up the Law, to the station, to the beach and harbour etc. Really enjoyed local restaurant Osteria, Rocketeer restaurant and the new ice cream parlour on the corner opposite. A great week, only possible due to the most fantastic apartment!

“Lovely Apartment with lots of thoughtful extras”
This is a lovely apartment and has comfortably accommodated our family of four for two holidays now. Everything is spotlessly clean, the bedding is good quality, and Tracey provides lots of thoughtful extras such as a big welcome hamper, nice toiletries and things like a step stool/potty/high chair for young children. There are even toys, games, a picnic bag and rug, buckets and spades - really everything you need for a holiday on the coast. There is lots of soap powder/dishwasher tablets/bin liners etc to make keeping the place clean without having to go and buy this stuff (which we've often had to do in other places). I would highly recommend the Imperial, especially for couples with up to two children.

“Great location; attention to detail”
My wife and I, and our four year old daughter, recently stayed at The Imperial. It is a great North Berwick location -- close to shops, beach, bars, sights, etc. The apartment is very clean and the owner has paid close attention to many details such as very nice soaps, towels, beds, etc. It also is extremely kid-friendly, with books and toys and games for use. Also, the bedrooms are not facing the street. So although it is centrally located, it doesn't sound like it -- even on Friday or Saturday night. Highly recommended.

“A very comfortable holida home”
The apartment is very tastefully furnished. It was lovely not to have to take towels with us as we were travelling by train, and had limited luggage room. It had everything required to make our stay in North Berwick a happy one and was in a good location for the beach and the town.
