What a lovely place to stay. I thoroughly recommend Signals Cottage. 1. Very quiet. 2. Grocery store 2 minute walk away. 3. Beautiful North Beach 5 minute walk away down a public footpath over some fields. 4. Walking distance to the Open Air Theatre. 5. Practically on top of the North Cliff Golf Club. 6. Walking distance (20 minutes) to the North Bay Sealife Centre. Perfect location. Exceptionally clean and comfortable place to stay. Will come here again.

"Little home from home."
This is a small quarter house on a large housing estate. It was surprisingly quiet and tranquil while we were there. We liked the location, just 5 minutes from the seafront on foot. It took us slightly longer on the way back (up hill). There is a Tesco Express just over the main road which was handy for the morning newspaper. It was well equipped and modern. If it had wi-fi it would have been perfect.
Thank you for your comments! We will look into having wifi available for guests in the future... James

"Signals Cottage. The perfect base for holidaying on the N Yorks coast."
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our short stay in Scarborough. Signals Cottage was a delight, very clean and adequately furnished for all our needs. We found that we could access all Scarborough's amenities on foot from the cottage and a trip out to the N Yorks moors was only a short car ride from our base. We will definitely return at some point in the future to explore more in and around Scarborough, hopefully staying again in Signals Cottage.
