Location description from owner

The Sunshine Coast region

Covering roughly half the east coast of Australia, Queensland is known as the Sunshine State and with good reason !!
The Tropic of Capricorn runs through Central Queensland and is responsible for its fabulous weather.
As the locals say-" Beautiful one day, perfect the next!"
Big blue skies with not a cloud in sight, pristine white beaches & rolling surf - Australia at its best.

It's most famous attraction is the Great Barrier Reef but Queensland is equally well-known for its amazing surf beaches, pristine national park and abundant wildlife including kangaroos & wallabies, goannas, turtles, dugongs, dolphins and whales just to name a few.

Noosa

The Central Coast of Queensland stretches all the way up north past Noosa, Fraser Island and Agnes Water to Rockhampton.
Agnes Water and the Town of 1770 are located on the Tropic of Capricorn - Latitude 23.3.

Agnes Water & 1770 are miles away from the frantic pace of city life but still retain the feel of sleepy fishing towns

Crisp clean air, pristine unspoilt beaches coupled with an unhurried pace of life will remind you of what holidays used to be!

Often considered the last true surf beach before the Great Barrier Reef, Agnes Water is a magnet for surfers from all over, with a couple of good point breaks and numerous beach breaks between the two national parks, Deepwater in the south and Eurimbula in the north.

Surfers pour in from all over every April for the Agnes Water Surfing Festival which is one of the must-do events of the Australian Longboard contest calendar. The less experienced can take private lessons or join a group session at the local surf school.

The area is perfectly positioned for direct access to Lady Musgrave Island which is part of the southern Great Barrier Reef

Summers are hot and winters are warm and dry with temperatures ranging from 20 to 31 degrees Celsius.

“A stunning destination, perfect for a family getaway”

Reviewed 17 Dec 2015

We had an amazing time at Alinghi. The house is beautiful and well equipped and has amazing views of the ocean from almost every room. It is managed by very helpful and friendly caretakers who made sure our stay was unforgettable. There is a short walk to the most private and pristine beaches I have ever seen and the water temperature means you want to be in the water all the time. It is a short drive to Agnes Water town which is a quitessential sleepy Australian beach town but with everything you need. The Australian bush and wildlife will leave you feeling like you have had a true Australian holiday experience. For anyone learning to surf there is a great local surf shop which provides group and private surf lessons and the beach conditions are ideal. It is a perfect family beach holiday destination.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your excellent review of Alinghi. We are delighted that you and your family experienced and appreciated the true beauty of Alinghi , which offers the quintessential Australian family holiday at the beach! We look forward to welcoming you at Alinghi again soon.

If there's a better beach house in Australia, I haven't heard of it. The views are stunning, the architecture is mesmerizing, and the location is second to none. We saw a turtle lay eggs under a full moon, had a private yoga session the next morning - all on Rocky Point's very own private beach. A highly recommended geyaway!

Owner's reply: Thank you for you superb review of alinghi Beach House. We are delighted that you chose alinghi for your stay and took the opportunity to experience some of the more unique activities on offer. You have truly seen the beauty of alinghi ! “A slice of heaven”

My husband & I spent the Easter break at Alinghi Beach House and we had the most relaxing and enjoyable time. As you arrive you hear the crashing of the waves and once you step into the house you see the most amazing views of the shimmering sea. Everything about this beach house spells luxury- from the comfy beds to the L'Occitane toiletries in the bathroom. The days were spent going for walks on the pristine and secluded beaches and every path you meander on takes you to the most breathtaking sight . Private yoga lessons and in-house massages adds to the Zen experience and when you are least expecting it a furry friend or two wanders past the front door. If you enjoy luxury and need to unwind ,this beach house is a must .

Owner's reply: Thank you for your superb review of alinghi Beach House! We are delighted that you had such a wonderfully relaxing & refreshing holiday and made the most of the facilities. alinghi is the perfect place for a holistic break. “Luxurious, private and perfectly in tune with it's environment”

Reviewed 10 Apr 2014

We stayed Alinghi to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday. Alinghi's striking design and breathtaking views created an exceptional setting for our intimate family celebration. We loved spending time at the pool and private beach with our kids in the morning, then lazing on the terrace in the afternoon with a book in one hand and cocktail in the other. The accolade of "World's Top 5 Beach House" is well-deserved! Alinghi is luxurious, private and perfectly in tune with it's environment. With warm coastal breezes, we slept with doors open to the sounds of the ocean and woke to dramatic sunrises. Our unforgettable few days at Alinghi left us energised, refreshed and relaxed.... truly an ideal holiday! Thanks to the Alinghi Lettings Team and property manager (Kellie) for the seamless booking and arrival process. Nothing was too much trouble - 5 star service all the way!

“Rockstar Beachhouse”

Reviewed 10 Oct 2013

Just finished a week staying in Alinghi at 1770. The views were amazing with a private beach below and from the deck we saw whales migrating south. The pool and tennis court are right on the beach with a fantastic cabana. We had a group of friends with families staying and the place was perfect.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your review of alinghi! We agree the views are absolutely breathtaking... We are delighted that you & your friends enjoyed staying there with your families and made full use of all the facilities. You would be very welcome to visit us again in December to watch the turtles nesting or in April-May to see the whales on their way north for the winter!

“You will never want to leave.”

If you are looking for relaxation in a beautiful location this is the place for you. The house is both gorgeous and functional with room for the whole family or a group of friends looking to relax. There is a swimming pool as well as a short walk to the beach. We drove to nearby towns for activities and some meals but bought food to take back and prepare in the well equipped kitchen so that we could spend as much time on the balcony because of the most amazing ocean view.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your fabulous review of alinghi! We understanding not wanting to leave the property with those amazing views! We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you at alinghi again soon! The alinghi Lettings Team

A spectacularly beautiful house with a mesmerising ocean view which is even seen from the showers in the ensuite bathrooms! Went to relax and left very much so. In fact we enjoyed it so much that we rarely left the estate. Very comfy king size beds, an armchair big enough for 2, a tennis court, pool and cabana on the estate and a balcony overlooking the ocean that is perfect for reading and sun-baking.

“Heaven on earth”

Reviewed 23 Apr 2013

What an amazing & absolutely stunning property. The entire house blends into the tree line, equally the way it opens up completely from the inside you imagine you are in a very beautiful tree house. Everything laid out so carefull in terms of floor plan- Feng Shui calm at its best. Wildlife all around us: sea eagles, goannas & wallabies. We thoroughly enjoyed our daily "nature show". We couldn't have asked for a more perfect retreat away from the madness of today's world. Simply stunning.

“Absolutely Stunning- One of Kind-Nicest beach house I have ever seen”

Reviewed 6 Apr 2013

My husband and I, and our 3 month old baby, stayed here a few weeks ago and were taken aback by this home. Hard to sum it up? Luxury Luxury Luxury retreat combined with exclusive holiday home. Amazing huge modern- very classy and so many little unique places to sit and have a cup of tea (or a wine). Huge kitchen and open plan living for entertaining, had many a beautiful meal on the balcony. Beautiful views, from nearly every single room in the house. The house can open up so well you really feel like you are 'at one' with nature (in the most 5 star way possible). Very warm during our stay so take some light clothing. This was the most relaxing destination I have ever stayed at - couldn't recommend it more highly: delicious house, lovely walks, beautiful beaches and great meals at the local "tree" pub restaurant. Plenty to do - as much or as little as we wanted. Fantastic all round - great holiday.

Owner's reply: Thank you for taking the time to review 'alinghi'. We are delighted that you had a wonderful stay and look forward to welcoming you back soon! The 'alinghi' Lettings Team
